Scripture: Genesis 21:8–21

💭Reflection
Hagar’s story reminds us that God sees those the world often overlooks. Cast into the wilderness with her son, she faced fear, uncertainty, and injustice. Yet in her darkest moment, God heard her cries and responded with compassion.

Many people today still carry burdens that go unseen. Like Hagar, they long to be heard, valued, and treated with dignity. As followers of Christ, we are called not only to trust that God sees our pain but also to notice the struggles of others. Faith invites us to listen to marginalized voices, stand alongside those who suffer, and embody God’s love through acts of justice, compassion, and solidarity.

🙏Prayer
Loving God, thank You for never overlooking those who suffer. In my wilderness may I always seek the light by journeying with those who are in there also. Open my eyes to the needs around me and soften my heart toward those whose voices are often unheard. Help me to reflect Your compassion, seek justice, and walk alongside others with love and humility. Amen.
