AND SO THIS IS CHRIST-MAS ✝️
And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” - Matthew 2:14

NOTES:
“So was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet”, a quote mentioned 4 times in this chapter. The birth off Jesus Christ was no coincidence, as others may speculate. It was deliberately planned by God, announced ahead by His prophets, and executed at the right time, when everything as in place. That is how God work in the life of His beloved children.

God has His time and when His perfect time comes, nothing can stop Him from fulfilling His work, that not even Herod, the King of Judea, has the power to interfere. The turn of events fall in synchronized manner turning the events in accordance to God’s plan. Jesus was God in flesh as the Bible declared. His coming was in accordance with the Father’s plan and purpose. The Father sent Him to us, His beloved creation, for the purpose of restoring the relations that was destroyed by sin and disobedience (Romans 5:10). Jesus is bringing the Father’s reconciliatory act of forgiveness to those who would believe and accept Jesus in their life. Much more, the right to become God’s children is open thru Jesus Christ (John 1:12). All it takes is to believe and to receive Him as our Lord and Savior.

As the world celebrate its X’mas season, how about you, my friend? Will you come to believe and accept the father’s greatest expression of love and reconciliation in your life? Will you accept Jesus as the CHRIST-MASter of your whole being? As God has foretold, so it will be.

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12.

Be a child of God this season, pray this prayer: “Lord God, I invite Jesus to come into my life. I have decided to receive and believe in Him. Amen.” There you are, My friend. You have Chosen, you have taken the Chance… Change will come in your life.

Proverbs Chapter 6 📖

Notes:
Proverbs 6 gives practical lessons on how to live a wise and peaceful existence where everyday living is a challenge.

Generosity is good but often times abused (vs.1-5). Saving for the rainy day is worth the extra time and efforts while lazy hands will come to poverty and want (vs.7-11).

Wickedness is characterized by constant lying and perversion and therefore discouraged (vs.12-15). The end is beyond repair or healing. The hand of the Lord is hot against negative attitudes of evil men: the arrogant and proud, the murderer, the mind that plots evil and hand that sow destruction, the liars who invent unfounded accusations to accomplish personal gain, Sowers of division among the family and church (vs.16-19).

Among all others, obedience to instructions and keeping one’s life and practices within the boundaries of God’s will, solicits favor from on high while those that go beyond and over the limits of the Almighty suffer loss beyond repair. (Vs.24-32).

Therefore, blessed is one who lives and exist within the tolerable limits of God’s will for they will enjoy life as God designed (vs.20-23).

HONEYED POISON

Proverbs 5:3-4
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
v4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword.

Notes:
Proverbs does not only teach but gives practical lessons. This chapter speaks not only of wisdom but its practical applications. illicit relations can be thrilling yet deadly (vs.3-6). It may seem temporal but addicting. And anyone who enters its path will find it alluring yet snared stuck into unnecessary trouble that sucks ones health and wealth (vs.9-11).

On the other hand, there’s no substitute to a partner whom the Lord has given, whom the Lord has chosen (Vs.15-19). She is your true partner in your life’s journey. Forever loving, forever true. An irreplaceable asset, a loyal friend who will abandon not.

Therefore, stick to one, walk as one, live and die as one. For the Lord’s blessing are on those whose love and life are within the boundaries of His will (v.21).

Proverbs 4:5-6 📖

v5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
v6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Notes:
Silver and gold are the world’s precious metal. Diamonds is the world’s most precious stone. Yet there is a much more precious thing that dwarfs the value of these precious ones- Wisdom and understanding. (Vs. 7-8)

She is precious in the sense that she doesn’t only bring honor and glory but she can give one long life and security. (v.6)

She is eternal for whoever has she, cannot be taken. Riches resides externally in banks and safe boxes while she resides in one’s heart. She is ever present. A treasure that cannot be left behind for she gives life and health to whomever she dwells. (V.22)

She is a guide to every circumstance in life (V.18). She straightens and lighten the way leading to an established and secure life.

Therefore, wisdom and understanding are the two faces of a coin and whomever she possesses can confidently live a fruitful, meaningful and peaceful existence.

Proverbs 3:1-2 📖
v1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
v2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Notes:
Staying within the confines of God’s laws and commandments can surely make one’s life enjoyable and secure. Proverbs Chapter 3 advises this.

Trusting our talent and ability isn’t bad but isn’t good either. (V.7) Wisdom and understanding are better than silver and gold combined (vs.13-18) for these last and cannot be lost or stolen. Generosity is encouraged (vs.27-28) for they bring peace and not strife; security and not anxiety. Lastly, be content with what the Lord has provided and never cultivate envy (vs.31-32) for this can lead us away from God’s favor and blessing. Instead, cultivate humility for this will bring the Lord’s grace and honor (v.34-35).

Proverbs 2:5-6

v5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
v6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Notes:
THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING WISDOM.
Having wisdom and understanding in this present generation is very important if one is to survive and enjoy life as it is. It easy to obtain information nowadays, but this information is not enough to see us through life’s ups and down. Wisdom and understanding are needed if one has to successfully navigate the corridors of life. (5-9).

Wisdom is essential if one is to discern the outcome of future events and most importantly wisdom allows one to judge fairly and justly the circumstances and challenges that lays ahead and come out righteously just and secure. (Vs.10-16).

Wisdom has its fruit. It provides a fruitful and fulfilled life in the end (Vs.20-21) while those who rejects and despise it will find themselves in a pitiful state in the end (v.22).

In conclusion, wisdom and understanding can only be attained if one desires and welcomes it. It is freely given to those who seek and reverently fear the Lord for it is the Lord who freely gives wisdom and understanding (Vs.1-6).
