Ascent has expanded its scholarship program for faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines to five major universities: Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, Mapúa University, and the Asian Institute of Management. The program offers a study-now, pay-later model with zero percent interest, covering selected undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields such as STEM, law, medicine, data science, and business. Church leaders said the initiative aims to expand access to higher education while developing faithful, skilled Filipino professionals who will serve their communities and mentor future scholars.

Last May 17, the Roxas 2nd Ward Conference was successfully held, bringing members together in faith, unity, and worship. The conference served as an opportunity to strengthen testimonies and continue supporting the work of the Lord within the ward.

During the conference, it was announced that there would be no changes in the ward leadership as the current Bishopric continues to faithfully serve in their third year. Sustained to continue leading the ward are Bishop Francisco Tabigue (seated at the center), together with Brother Reden Dala (2nd Counselor, on the left side of the Bishop) and Brother Fernando Billones Jr. (1st Counselor, on the right side of the Bishop).

We express our gratitude for their continued dedication and Christlike service to the members of the ward. May the Roxas 2nd Ward continue to grow in faith, unity, and love as they move forward together.

𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Last May 10, the Estancia Branch Conference marked a historic and inspiring milestone in the growth of the Church within the area. Several important announcements and leadership changes were officially made, reflecting the continuous strengthening of the Lord’s work.

One of the major highlights of the conference was the renaming of the Estancia Branch to Balasan Branch. In addition, a new Estancia Branch was officially created, opening greater opportunities for members to worship, serve, and grow closer to the Savior.

Sustained as the new Branch Presidency of Balasan Branch are:
President Ricky Parohinog, together with Brother Nestor Treyes (1st Counselor) and Brother Joy Catalan (2nd Counselor).

Also sustained as the new Branch Presidency of Estancia Branch are:
President John Paul Fuentes Guzman, together with Brother Edwin Sanchez (1st Counselor) and Brother Giovani Panes (2nd Counselor).

We express our gratitude to these leaders for accepting the call to serve and to all members who continue to support the growth of the Church. Truly, this conference marks a new chapter of faith, unity, and progress for both branches.
