To those who continue to mock our faith, please understand this:
We do not worship any human leader. We do not place our faith in Bro. Eddie Villanueva, Senator Joel Villanueva, or in any other person. Our faith is anchored in God aloneโthe Creator of heaven and earth, the One who gave life to you, to me, and to every person in this world.
That is why it is both unfair and unreasonable to judge God, a church, or an entire community of believers based on the decisions, actions, or shortcomings of a single individual. Human beings are imperfect. Every person, regardless of position, status, or influence, is capable of making mistakes.
It is deeply saddening to see some people mock the name "Jesus Is Lord" by changing it to "Judas Is Lord." Such words do not simply attack an organization; they dishonor the very name of Jesus Christ. Disagreement with a person should never become an excuse to ridicule God or trample upon the faith of millions who sincerely worship Him.
If you disagree with Senator Joel or any public figure, you have every right to express your opinion. In a democratic society, criticism is part of public discourse. However, criticism should be directed toward the individual and the issue at handโnot toward God, not toward faith, and not toward an entire body of believers who have no involvement in the matter.
Before condemning others, it is worth asking ourselves: Are we completely blameless? Have we never made mistakes? Are we truly in a position to look down on others as though we ourselves are without fault?
Our faith does not stand or fall based on the decisions of any man. Leaders may fail, people may disappoint us, and institutions may be criticized, but God remains the same. He is holy, sovereign, and worthy of worship regardless of the imperfections of those who claim to follow Him.
Let us choose wisdom over mockery, understanding over hatred, and respect over insults. We may differ in our beliefs, opinions, and political views, but there should always be room for civility, decency, and respect for what others hold sacred.
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." โ Galatians 6:7
May we all learn to speak with truth, humility, and respect, even when we strongly disagree.
We belong to Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide not because of Bro. Eddie, Senator Joel, or any human leader. We are here because we have personally experienced God's goodness, grace, and transforming power in our lives. Our faith is in Jesus Christ alone.
