To my dear friends, brothers, sisters , companion of the journey and faith family in the Philippines,

My heart is with you.

I am deeply saddened by the destruction and the lives lost after these two powerful typhoons. I can only imagine the fear, the grief, and the exhaustion many of you are carrying right now.

Please know this: you are not alone.
Even in the ruins, God’s love still rises. Even in the darkest moments, hope still breathes. And even when strength feels small, the Spirit and your community family holds you with a power and a love greater than the storm.

May courage steady your steps, may peace rest upon your communities, and may the compassion of neighbors, churches, and the global family help rebuild what has been broken.

I am praying with you and for you, for comfort, for protection, and for the healing of our people and land.

May the God of hope and love surround you like a sheltering wing and guide every effort of rebuilding with light.
