Worship 101 (05/01/26)

Worship is not just music it’s a life surrendered to God. Singing and playing instruments are ways to express a heart that truly honors Him.
1. Heart First
Before any role, a worshipper must:
• Have a personal relationship with God
• Live in obedience and humility
• Be willing to commit time and sacrifice
Without this, worship becomes empty.

2. Worship Leader
The leader’s role is to:
• Guide people into God’s presence
• Be spiritually sensitive, not just follow a program
• Lead with humility and example

3. The Team Matters
Every role is important:
• Musicians, singers, dancers, multimedia, and sound tech all work together
• Each one helps create an environment where people can focus on God
• No role is more important than another

4. Song Choice & Flow
• Choose songs based on truth (Scripture) and purpose
• Make sure they are easy for people to follow
• Build a natural flow (praise → worship → response)

5. Unity & Excellence
• Practice and prepare well—but avoid performance mindset
• Work in unity and communication as a team
• Follow cues and stay connected during worship

6. Personal Commitment
• Spend time with God daily
• Serve faithfully, even when it’s hard
• Worship should continue off-stage, not just on stage

Matthew 5:10-12

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you,persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

WHY JESUS CALLS IT BLESSED WHEN ONE IS PERSECUTED?

1. Identifies us with Christ
2. It is a sign of Faithfulness
3. Deepens spiritual joy
4. Sign of success
5. Assures the kingdom of heaven

Remember:
“You are not alone, You are standing with the King”

Challenge:
• Have you experienced persecution for righteousness sake?
• If not yet, ask yourself, Am I living rightfully as a Christian?
• Am I ready ton commit myself for Christ sake?

Lukas 24:36-49

36 Sang nagapanugiron pa sila, hinali lang nga nagtindog si Jesus didto sa tunga nila kag nagsiling, “Kabay pa nga ang kalinong ara sa inyo.” 37 Kinulbaan kag hinadlukan gid sila kay abi nila kalag ang ila nakita. 38 Pero nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Ngaa bala natublag gid kamo? Kag ngaa bala nagapangduhaduha kamo nga ako ini? 39 Tan-awa bala ninyo ang agi sang mga lansang sa akon mga kamot kag mga tiil. Hikapa ninyo ako. Indi ako kalag. Ang kalag wala sing lawas pero ako iya may lawas kag makita gid ninyo.” [40 Pagkatapos niya hambal sini ginpakita niya sa ila ang mga pilas sa iya mga kamot kag mga tiil.] 41 Sa ila dako nga kalipay kag katingala daw indi sila makapati sang ila nakita. Kag nagpamangkot si Jesus sa ila, “May pagkaon bala kamo diri?” 42 Ginhatagan nila siya sang isa ka gulot nga sinugba nga isda. 43 Ginkuha niya kag ginkaon samtang nagatulok sila.
44 Pagkatapos nagsiling siya sa ila, “Amo ini ang akon ginsiling sa inyo sang nagaupdanay pa kita, nga ang tanan nga nasulat parte sa akon sa Kasuguan ni Moises, sa mga sinulatan sang mga propeta, kag sa mga salmo kinahanglan gid nga matuman.” 45 Dayon ginbuksan ni Jesus ang ila mga hunahuna agod maintiendihan nila ang Kasulatan. 46 Siling niya sa ila, “Nagasiling ang Kasulatan nga ang Cristo kinahanglan gid nga mag-antos kag mapatay, pero mabanhaw siya sa ikatlo nga adlaw. 47 Kag kinahanglan nga isugid sa bug-os nga kalibutan halin sa Jerusalem nga tungod sa iya[a] patawaron sang Dios ang mga tawo nga nagahinulsol sang ila mga sala. 48 Kamo ang mga saksi sa sini nga mga butang. 49 Ipadala ko sa inyo ang Espiritu Santo nga ginpromisa sang akon Amay. Pero indi kamo anay maghalin diri sa Jerusalem samtang wala pa ninyo mabaton ang gahom nga halin sa langit.”

“NGA-A NAG PAGPAKITA SI JESUS SA IYA MGA SUMULUNOD KAG SA MGA TAWO”

Jesus stayed to prove He was Alive, to confirm the Scriptures, Jesus deepen the faith of His followers, to mobilize the disciples for mission, and to prepare us for His Return.

Jesus still doing the same today.

• He meets us in our doubts.
• He opens His Word.
• He calls us into His mission
• He reminds us that our hope is alive and that He, Our King, is returning.

Whatever you're carrying today stress, fear, or worries, give it to God. You were never meant to handle it alone. He cares for you deeply. When life feels heavy, remember this, God is willing to carry what you cannot. Trust Him with everything.

Luke 9:21-22
21 Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. 22 And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

“Jesus did not avoid the Journey”

1. The Journey Begins with Identity
2. The Journey Involves Preparation
3. The Journey Requires Obedience
4. The Journey Involves Sacrifice
5. The Journey Leads to Purpose

CONCLUSION: Just like Jesus, every journey:
• Begins with Identity
• Involves Preparation
• Requires Obedience
• Includes Sacrifice
• Leads to Purpose
Your journey may be painful and uncertain, but if you remain faithful, it will lead to God’s purpose.

CHALLENGE: Maybe today:
• You feel lost in your identity
• You are in a season of waiting
• You are struggling to obey
• You are afraid of sacrifice

Remember: You are not stuck, you are in a journey. God is not delaying you, He is preparing you.

No matter what challenges you are facing right now, remember that your victory does not depend on your own strength alone. God is the one who gives you the strength to overcome, the courage to keep going, and the hope to rise again. Even in struggles, He is already working for your victory.

Trust Him because in the end, you are not fighting alone.

64 Gani maayo siguro pabantayan mo ang lulubngan niya sa sulod sang tatlo ka adlaw, kay basi kon ang iya bangkay kawaton sang iya mga sumulunod kag dayon ipanugid nila sa mga tawo nga nabanhaw siya. Kag kon matabo ining kabutigan mangin mas malain pa ini sang sa nahauna.” 65 Nagsiling si Pilato sa ila, “May mga guwardya kamo. Kamo mismo ang magpabantay suno sa inyo nahibaluan.” 66 Gani nagkadto sila sa lulubngan, kag ginmarkahan nila ang bato nga nagatakop sa lulubngan agod mahibaluan nila kon may nagbukas. Dayon ginbilin nila didto ang ila mga guwardya.

"Ang Pagkabanhaw Ni Jesus"

Ang pagkabanhaw ni Jesus nagapakita sang Iya gahom kag gugma sa aton. Wala siya nagpabilin sa lulubngan, nabanhaw Siya kag naghatag sang paglaom sa tanan nga nagatuo sa Iya.

Tungod sini:

1. Nahatagan kita sang completo nga kapatawaran sang sala kag bag-o nga kabuhi.
2. Nahatagan kita sang kaisug nga indi na kita mahadlok sa kamatayon.
3. Nahatagan kita sang Gahom halin sa Dios.
4. Nahatagan kita sang paghigugma nga wala sing katapusan.
5. Nahatagan kita sang Ihabalo kag kaalam para mahibalu-an kon ngaman gintuga ikaw sa sining kalibutan.
6. Nahatagan kita sang gin preparar Niya nga balay sa langit.

Ang pagkabanhaw ni Jesus amo ang aton paglaom kag kadalag-an.

Sometimes life gets tiring, and we feel like giving up. But this verse reminds us that when we put our trust in God, He gives us new strength to keep going.

Even when you feel weak, God is lifting you higher than your struggles.

God is doing something new in your life even if you don’t see it yet. Let go of the past and trust that He is making a way for you. Even in difficult times, God is always working in new ways, bringing hope and new beginnings. Trust Him, even when things don’t make sense yet.

Jesus invites those who are tired and burdened to come to Him. This means we don’t have to carry our problems alone He offers peace, comfort, and true rest for our hearts.

Victory doesn't come from your own strength, but from God's presence, when He is with you, no opposition can ultimately overcome you, because His power sustains, guides, and secures you through every challenge.
