SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS| 10.17.26

Last Sunday, we were reminded of an important truth: “Fear God” — Pastora Alen Pino

📖 “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)

To God be all the glory! 🙌✨

"You Are Favored by God"

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. –Ephesians 1:6 (KJV)

God's favor is not because of what we have done, but because of His amazing grace. Through Jesus Christ, we are accepted, loved, and blessed by Him. Let us live each day with faith, obedience, and thankful hearts, knowing that we are truly favored by God.

All glory belongs to God! 🙌

Topic: "Love Your Enemies"

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies... and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."

Loving our enemies is one of the most difficult commands Jesus gave. Our natural response is to seek revenge, but Christ calls us to respond with love, forgiveness, and prayer.

Christian love is not merely an emotion—it is a choice to obey God, even when it is painful. By loving our enemies, we reflect the character of Christ.

Stephen demonstrated this truth. As he was being stoned, he prayed for those who persecuted him instead of seeking revenge (Acts 7:60).

He reflected the same mercy that Jesus showed on the cross.

God Himself is our greatest example. He extends His common grace to all people, giving His blessings to both the righteous and the unrighteous (Matthew 5:45).

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, was transformed by God's mercy into a faithful servant. God's grace has the power to change any heart.

Paul reminds us:

"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21, KJV)
We do not conquer evil by returning evil for evil. We overcome it through love, kindness, and forgiveness.

As Proverbs 25:21 teaches:
"If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink."

When we choose love over hatred and forgiveness over revenge, we reveal the heart of Christ. The light of Christ always overcomes the darkness, and through our obedience, God is glorified.

Theme: God's Judgment and Our Readiness
Text: Revelation 5:1-5; Revelation 6:1-16

The Worthy Lamb and God’s Sovereign Control
1. Only God is worthy to open the book mentioned in Revelation [Rev. 5:1-5].
2. All events are under the control of God through Jesus Christ.
3. God seals His people for redemption and protection.

The Seven Seals of Revelation
The breaking of the seals reveals what must take place before Christ’s return:

1. First Seal: White Horse – A counterfeit peace. A deceiver will come claiming to be Christ. [Rev. 6:1-2]

2. Second Seal: Red Horse – Represents war and violence. [Rev. 6:3-4]

3. Third Seal: Black Horse – Represents famine and economic hardship. [Rev. 6:5-6]

4. Fourth Seal: Pale Horse – Represents death by sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts. [Rev. 6:7-8]

5. Fifth Seal: The Cry of the Martyrs – The souls of those slain for God’s word cry out for justice. [Rev. 6:9-11]

6. Sixth Seal: Cosmic Disturbance – Earthquakes, darkened sun, blood moon, and falling stars signal God’s wrath. [Rev. 6:12-17]

7. Seventh Seal: Silence in Heaven – About half an hour of silence before the trumpet judgments begin. [Rev. 8:1]

-Our Readiness-
As servants of the Lord, we must prepare ourselves for the coming of our God.
1. Guard yourself against deception – Do not be misled by false christs or false peace.
2. Live in holiness and watchfulness – Christ’s return and judgment are certain.

SUNDAY SERVICE | 06.21.22

Last Sunday the word of God reminds us that God is a Jealous God but His jealousy is not sinful like human jealousy. It is a holy jealousy that reflects His deep love and desire for an exclusive relationship with His people. Because He loves us, God is jealous when our love, devotion, and worship are given to someone or something else.

God is jealous when:
✓Our love for Him grows cold or becomes less.
✓We give our devotion and worship to others.
✓We desire worldly things more than Him.
✓Anything takes His rightful place in our hearts.

The Bible teaches that God is a consuming fire and a jealous God (Deuteronomy 4:24). Therefore, we must guard ourselves from idols (1 John 5:21), love God with all our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37), and seek Him first above everything else (Matthew 6:33).

Our worship, love, and devotion should belong exclusively to Jesus. He deserves first place in every area of our lives.

Reflection Questions:
- Is God truly first in my life?
- Have I allowed anything or anyone to take His place in my heart?
- Am I fully devoted to Him?

THE TIME OF AWAKENING

Romans 13:11— And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Spiritual sleep is when Christians become complacent.
Character changes. We grow drowsy. We forget that death is near.
Don’t be complacent, because the Creator can take your life at any time.
That’s why we’re reminded: don’t sleep, don’t be lazy in your faith.

These are the signs that God’s people have fallen asleep:

1. They’ve lost interest in the Word of God
2. They no longer find joy in worshiping God

Joel 2:12 — Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning."_
God’s call for those who are sleeping: come back to Him with your whole heart.

A person who is spiritually awake will go to where God’s people gather and join in worship.

John 9:4 — I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

While we’re still alive, let’s do the things that bring joy to the Lord. Because night is coming — the time when we won’t be able to work for Him anymore.

Let’s not waste the time the Lord has given us.
Preach His Word and encourage others to build their faith.

Matthew 26:41— Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."_
Don’t neglect prayer. A spiritually awake person is always alert and prayerful. Prayer is what prepares us for the spiritual battle.

Our time should be used to get ready for God’s return. While we still can, we must be vigilant in doing God’s work.

Matthew 24:44 — Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Jesus’ return is certain, but we don’t know when. So let’s live blamelessly and pursue holiness to glorify God.

Stay awake. Stay prayerful. Stay ready.
Because the time we have now is the time God gave us to work, to worship, and to wait for Him well. Wake up from complacency. Return with your whole heart. Work while you have breath. Watch and pray. Live ready.
