Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). There are many in the Christian world who claim that all that is necessary to salvation is to have faith; works are nothing, faith is the only essential. But God’s Word tells us that faith without works is dead, being alone. Many refuse to obey God’s commandments, yet they make a great deal of faith. But faith must have a foundation. God’s promises are all made upon conditions. If we do His will, if we walk in truth, then we may ask what we will, and it shall be done unto us. While we earnestly endeavor to be obedient, God will hear our petitions; but He will not bless us in disobedience. If we choose to disobey His commandments, we may cry, “Faith, faith, only have faith,” and the response will come back from the sure Word of God, “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20). Such faith will only be as sounding brass and as a tinkling cymbal. In order to have the benefits of God’s grace we must do our part; we must faithfully work and bring forth fruits meet for repentance. We are workers together with God. You are not to sit in indolence, waiting for some great occasion, in order to do a great work for the Master. You are not to neglect the duty that lies directly in your pathway, but you are to improve the little opportunities that open around you.... Happy Midweek!

God never fails.❤️

I am born Adventist and mom always remind me na magpagamit sa gawain ng Panginoon. Elementarya palang ako madalas ng mawalay sa'min si mama at papa para lang matustosan yung pang araw-araw na pangangaialangan namin. Hangang sa dumating yung araw na kailangan ng mangibang bansa ni mama para maipagpatuloy ni kuya pag-aaral niya sa kolehiyo. Nasa murang edad pa lamang ako nakaka-experience na ako ng matinding pagsubok, minsan ko ng sinisi ang Panginoon kung bakit kailangan pang sa'kin mangyari ang mga bagay na iyon. Nang tumuntong ako ng high school doon nagsimulang magkaroon ako ng depression at isa yon sa mga sakit na mahirap labanan. Kailangan mong labanan dahil wala namang ibang makakatulong sa'kin kundi sarili ko lang din. Mahigit anim na taon akong nadepress dahil sa mga problemang hindi ko inaasahang darating sa buhay ko. Minsan narin akong napalayo sa Panginoon dahil sinisisi ko siya kung bakit nangyari yung mga bagay na yon sa pamilya ko kung pwede namang sa iba nalang. Pero sa kabila ng lahat ng yon I believe that God has a purpose kung bakit kailangan kong maranasang mahirapan at masaktan. At ngayong nasa kolehiyo na ako mas lalo kong pinapasalamatan ang Panginoon dahil lahat ng pagsubok na dumating sa buhay ko ay hindi niya ako iniwan at pinabayaan. Mas lalo niyang pinagtibay ang loob ko at lalo pang magtiwala sa kanya na andiyan siya palagi sa tabi ko at kahit kailanman hinding-hindi niya ako pababayaan. Hindi ko man nakakasama ang buong pamilya ko sa pagpraise sa kanya, I hope and pray na dumating yung right time na sabay-sabay kaming pupunta ng church at pupurihin ang Panginoon at pasasalamatan siya sa lahat ng bagay.

Kailangan lang talaga nating mag trust at manatiling tapat sa Panginoon dahil iyon lang yung bagay na hinihingi niya sa atin. Kung ano man yung will niya para sa'tin yon at yon ang masusunod at makakaasa tayo na God's always has a better plan for us.

Words are so powerful that silence is sometimes the best action. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 13:3, NIV. "He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin."

Our words should please God. Our words are important because we represent Christ and reveal what is in our hearts. Before we speak, let us first think. We don’t want others to carry burdens just because of our wrong words.

Being a teen has never been easy and it sure isn’t nowadays. Teens need our support and encouragement, both in their everyday struggles and in their faith. Let’s encourage them with the truth and God’s words, not with platitudes. Let’s help them to continue their faith, to hang in there and not quit.

The Talent of “Help”

1 Corinthians 12:28 says, “And God has appointed in church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers: then deeds of power, then gifts of healing, forms of assistance, forms of leadership, various kinds of tongues.”

There is a wild field of activities where you may use whatever ability the Lord has given you in a most effective way. For instance, have you considered helping a sincere seeker after truth?
The Apostle Paul mentions “helps” or “forms of assistance” in our text for today. Could what we mentioned here perhaps be one of these “forms of assistance“? And who says that this is an insignificant talent? Many a decision for Christ are made as the Holy Spirit mediates His power through the influence of the one who uses his talent of “help.”
