𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟

• 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗻.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹, 𝗴𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗸. 𝗚𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿. 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻. – 𝗚𝘆𝗽𝘀𝘆 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵

𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗

The question every one of us is asking is the same:

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚?

Death is not the end of the story God is writing.
It becomes a doorway to what God will do next.

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.

𝟭. 𝗝𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗛
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯

Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers, falsely accused, imprisoned — yet God raised him up to become second-in-command of Egypt, saving his family and an entire region from famine (Genesis 41–45)

His life taught a generation that God can turn betrayal into purpose

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis 50:20

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱:
• They carried Joseph's bones with them through the wilderness

Exodus 13:19
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.

• Buried him in Shechem after entering Canaan

Joshua 24:32
And Joseph’s bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph’s descendant.

•The nation kept a promise made to a man none of them had ever met

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
• Joseph's family didn't stay in mourning.
• They kept their promise alive and carried his faith forward — not out of sentiment, but as a declaration that God's promises outlast any single generation, and any single leader

𝟮. 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗦
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘓𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘖𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘨𝘦

Moses led Israel out of slavery, delivered the Law at Sinai, and shepherded a stubborn, complaining nation for forty years through the wilderness.

He was Israel's greatest leader — yet even he was not allowed to enter the Promised Land because of disobedience at Meribah

But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” Numbers 20:12

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱:
• Israel mourned him for thirty days

Deuteronomy 34:8
The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.

• They arose and prepared

Joshua 1:2
“Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites…”

• Joshua embraced God’s promise and stepped into the calling, and the nation crossed into the Promised Land.

Joshua 1:7
7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
• Mourning had a season — thirty days — but it was not the end.
• God appointed a new leader, and the people moved forward into the promise Moses had spent his life pointing them toward.
• Grief was honored; the mission was not abandoned.

𝟯. 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗗
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘥 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘎𝘰𝘥'𝘴 𝘖𝘸𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵

David, once a shepherd boy, became Israel's greatest king — a warrior, worshiper, and psalmist whose reign established Jerusalem and united the twelve tribes.

Despite his failures, God called him "a man after his own heart"

But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.
1 Samuel 13:14

And promised his throne would be established forever

Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’ 2 Samuel 7:16

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱:
• Before he died, David charged his son Solomon to "be strong, and show yourself a man… and keep the charge of the Lord your God"

1 Kings 2:1–3
1 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.
2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, 3 and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go

• He also organized the temple plans and resources so the next generation could build what he himself was not permitted to build (1 Chronicles 29:1–5).

• David didn't just leave a kingdom — he left preparation, instruction, and a clear charge, so those left behind knew exactly how to carry the mission forward.

𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘐𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧

Jesus healed the sick, taught the multitudes, gathered ordinary fishermen and turned them into world-changers, and ultimately gave His life on the cross for the sin of the world. His death looked, on the surface, like every other death in this message — mourned, buried, seemingly final.

"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." Matthew 28:6

"For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him." Romans 6:9

"55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

" God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
• Our hope is not in what we hold onto, but in Who holds us.
• Grief doesn't mean you need to let go of someone as if they had never been there. Grief is learning to hold on in a different way.
• Love doesn't end. Memories don't disappear. The meaning remains.

For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 7:17
