COMMUNITY CHURCHES MUST TALK MORE ABOUT THE REALITY OF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS
We heard pastors being so conservative in talking about romantic love.
We hear rebukes like, “O yung mga nagsisimba lang para makita si crush a”…. “Uy hindi ito yung love na iniisip niyo a, ito rin ay about love for friends at kay Lord.”
Or just plainly saying, “bawal magjowa ang estudyante pa,” without clearly talking about the importance of purity and making the best out of your own season.
It’s easier for community churches to preach about loving your enemies, and your church, but not something that is happening behind close doors.
What about marriage? What about bf-gf relationships?
We don’t need to downsize the importance of romantic relationships to point out the love of Christ.
Rather, WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT THAT KIND OF LOVE TO AMPLIFY GOD.
Teach the young people how to properly love in Christ-like way.
Teach couples that family is the main ministry.
Teach women the practical way to OBEY. (Eph. 5:22)
Teach men the practical way to LOVE their “wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." (Eph. 5:25 ESV)
Marriage is the second most life-changing decision in a person’s life after accepting God. So we should be less conservative and preach more of it.🫀
