Do you belong to those who easily get angry when things don’t go their way or the one others would consider kind?

Kindness is a lifestyle. It is a daily practice. It is a choice. As Christians we are to grow in the fruit of the spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and kindness – and growth takes time.

Mark Twain says, “Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”

Rejoicing and Weeping With Others

Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than themselves.” (Phil 2:3)
Blessed is that person who can sincerely and gladly rejoice when others are exalted, though they themselves are overlooked and passed by! (J.C. Ryle)

As God’s holy people (Rom. 12:1), Christians are to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.

We simply come alongside those who weep, acknowledge their pain, express our condolences, and assure them of our love and prayers. Many of us can testify firsthand that when we look back at seasons of intense grief, we don’t remember the exact words people shared, but we do remember the people who showed up and sat with us in our tears.

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Paul says Christians are to be joyful always—not sometimes, periodically, or occasionally.
How is it possible to remain joyful all the time?

The key to the Christian's joy is its source, which is the Lord. If Christ is in me and I am in Him, that relationship is not a sometimes experience. The Christian is always in the Lord and the Lord is always in the Christian, and that is always a reason for joy. Even if the Christian cannot rejoice in his circumstances, if he finds himself passing through pain, sorrow, or grief, he still can rejoice in Christ. We rejoice in the Lord, and since He never leaves us or forsakes us, we can rejoice always.

When is enough, enough!

“Blessed are the balance, they shall outlast everyone”

God is not against money or treasure. He is not even against your dreams. The Lord even wants us to shine, to excel, to be the head of things, not the tail; you will be at the top of things, not the bottom, as long as you obey the Lord your God's commandments.

Proverbs 12:24 says, “ Hard workers will become leaders but those who are lazy will be slaves.”

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, “ Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

However, when we forget to STRIKE A BALANCE, we might go overboard hence,plunge ourselves into ruin and destruction.

Over fatigue.
No enjoyment in life.
You want more and you do not want to share.
Broken family.
No intimate time with the Lord.

Read: 1 Timothy 6: 6-12

Blessed are the BALANCE, they shall outlast everyone.

Sunday School: August 14, 2022

Our Sunday School class memorized Romans 3:23 and talked about our sins.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. – Romans 3:23-24 (NIV)

This Bible verse shows us that none of us are excused from sin. We were born sinners. There’s no amount of trying or working that would get us out of our sinful state. Also, there’s no way that your good could ever outweigh your bad. It’s impossible to come to the father except through Jesus. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that Jesus didn’t leave us there. He gave us His own righteousness as a free gift.

Praise God for the nice weather and His provision!

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Proverbs 27:17 : “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. This simple statement has been a calling for us that says no one is alone. That in order to make yourself better, there is a mutual benefit making others better through mentorship, follower-ship, and leading.

Praise God for our faithful Sunday School kids and teachers!

Last Sunday, our kids were taught that God is a righteous judge. Though He is gracious and loving, His holiness does not change.

“God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.”

Hatred is contagious but so is love. We are also warned over and over in the Bible of how hatred and bitterness can destroy us. God tells us in Scripture that hate is a heart issue and that someone who hates a brother is a murderer.
