POPE GRANTS PONTIFICAL CROWN TO MARY, MOTHER OF PEACE

Diocese of Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos announced that the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments has granted the diocese's request for a Pontifical Coronation of the image of Mary, Mother of Peace, in Rizal.

"Above all, we give glory and praise to God, from whom all blessings flow. This honor is not our achievement but God's gracious gift. It is a reminder that the Blessed Virgin Mary continues to accompany her children, leading us always to her Son, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace," Santos said.

A pontifical, or canonical, coronation is an act where the pope crowns an image of Jesus, Mary, or Joseph that has gained wide veneration in a diocese.

The Vatican has approved the pontifical coronation of the image of Maria, Ina ng Kapayapaan, venerated at a parish church dedicated to her in Montalban, Rizal.

In communion with the Maria, Ina ng Kapayapaan Parish. Diocese of Antipolo and the universal Church, our Immaculate Conception Chapel humbly joins the Rosary for Peace with Pope Leo XIV. As we meditate on the Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, we unite our hearts in prayer, entrusting the world to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace.

We thank the faithful communities who led each mystery:
The 1st Mystery from Montalban, the 2nd Mystery from Lidong, the 3rd Mystery from Sta. Mesa, the 4th Mystery from Napo, and the 5th Mystery led by Bro. Ulysses from Italy. We also extend our gratitude to Fr. Woody Loquinario from Italy for the prayers, blessing, and closing rites.

May every prayer offered tonight bring hope, healing, and peace to our world, reminding us that we are one family of faith united in Christ through the Rosary.
