During Passiontide, the Church veils sacred images as a form of Visual Fasting, helping us focus on the cross and reflect on the Passion of Jesus Christ—preparing our hearts for the Resurrection.

𝐑𝐄𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄! 𝐋𝐀𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆!

In the midst of our Lenten journey, the Church invites us to pause and rejoice. This March 15, 2026, we celebrate Laetare Sunday—a reminder that even in sacrifice and reflection, the joy of Christ’s resurrection is drawing near.

The word “𝐋𝐚𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞” comes from a Latin word meaning “𝐑𝐞𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞.” It is taken from the opening line of the Mass Entrance Antiphon, “Laetare, Jerusalem”, “Rejoice, Jerusalem.” On this special Sunday, the Church encourages the faithful to find hope and joy as we continue our journey toward Easter. ✝️🌸

The Ministry of Altar Servers of St. Anthony Of Padua Parish is now accepting applicants. We invite our young brothers from𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟒-𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟖 only who have the desire to serve the Lord and the Holy Altar to join this ministry.

Being an altar server is a meaningful opportunity to grow in faith, discipline, responsibility, and service within the Church community.

Applications are open Tuesday, March 3, 2026, until further notice.

We encourage interested applicants, together with their parents or guardians, to inquire and take part in this noble service.
