The Mother’s Journey | The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception announces the upcoming National Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zamboanga. The faithful are invited to mark their calendars and prepare their hearts to receive her maternal presence and blessings from June 24 to 26, 2026. This sacred visit offers an opportunity for spiritual renewal, communal prayer, and deepened devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Further details regarding the official liturgical schedule, Eucharistic celebrations, and hours of public veneration will be announced in the coming days.

The Mother’s Journey: From Mexico to the Philippines

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception formally releases the official schedule of Holy Masses, public veneration, and designated pilgrims for the upcoming National Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Archdiocese of Zamboanga from June 24 to 26, 2026. To formally open these grace-filled days, we invite our devotees and the faithful to join us in the welcome procession on Wednesday, June 24, at 10:00 AM, which will commence at the MCIC Conference Hall and Grounds and proceed to the Main Church. This will be immediately followed by the Welcoming Rites and the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at 12:00 Noon, to be presided over by His Excellency, the Most Rev. Julius S. Tonel, D.D., Archbishop of Zamboanga.

The pilgrims are highly encouraged to check the schedules of their assigned vicariates and Catholic and Archdiocesan Schools for the date and time assigned for their pilgrimage and public veneration. Please take special note that there will be no public veneration before or after the 9:00 AM Closing Mass on Friday, June 26, as the pilgrim image will journey to the Diocese of Ipil.

Let us come together as a synodal Church in prayer, devotion, and thanksgiving for this immense spiritual blessing, asking Our Lady of Guadalupe to continuously lead us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.
