To the best brother who did not just act as spiritual brother, but also a kuya to the whole San Jose community, we wish you nothing but a happy birthday.

Your diaconal ordination last June 11, 2026 can be considered as God’s gift to you for your dedication and genuine love to the liturgy and to the people around you. But for us, YOU are the gift.

We are praying that the new community that will be under your care and guidance will give you the warm welcome that you deserve. We are happy that there will be more people who will meet the kuya that we love, but nonetheless never forget that the doors of San Jose will always be open for you, ready to welcome you with open arms anytime.

IN PHOTOS: A Grace-Filled Journey to the Diaconate

Before the solemn ordination, our four brothers first professed their Faith at the chapel of St. Gregory the Great Friary—a quiet yet powerful moment of surrender to God.

From that act of faith, they were led to the altar of the Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista, where through the laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination of Most Rev. Elias Lumayog Ayuban, Jr., CMF, DD, JCD, Bishop of Cubao, they were ordained as Deacons of the Church:

In his homily, Bishop Elias reminded the ordinands that every vocation begins in the heart of God, and that authentic vocations often carry a sense of inadequacy. Drawing inspiration from St. Barnabas, the “son of encouragement,” he urged them to be men of consolation—recognizing God’s grace in others, offering second chances instead of judgment, and living as humble servants of the Gospel.

He encouraged them to become bridge-builders, ministers of reconciliation, and instruments of peace in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.

May these photos remind us that true service flows from faith, humility, and love. Let us continue to pray for our newly ordained brothers as they begin their ministry of service to God’s people.
