Rev. Fr. John Michael Dolom of the San Pedro Calungsod Mission Area presided over the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on August 21, 2026, together with the Caritas Restorative Justice Ministry (RJM) of the Diocese of Novaliches, the Servants of the Holy Eucharist, and dedicated volunteers, as part of the continuing mission to accompany our brothers and sisters who are Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

In his homily, the priest emphasized discipline as an expression of love. He reminded the faithful that God corrects us not because He desires to punish us, but because He loves us and desires what is good for us.

After the Holy Mass, food was also distributed to the PDLs as a simple expression of care, compassion, and solidarity.

In every correction, there is love; and in every act of love, there is hope for change.

August 25, 2026. We are glorifying and grateful to the Lord as we successfully launched the Oma Mama Program in two (2) parishes of the Diocese of Novaliches. It aims to support the "First 1,000 Days" of life and designed to combat chronic childhood malnutrition. 30 pregnant women and mothers were chosen beneficiaries from the parishes of St. Paul of the Cross Parish - Bagong Silang and San Roque Parish, Bagong Silang Caloocan.

A Holy Eucharistic celebration opened this joyous event presided by Rev. Fr. Antonio E. Labio, Jr, Executive Director of Caritas Novaliches and Vicar General for Pastoral Affairs with Rev. Fr. Noel Bacasnot, Priest Coordinator Health & Nutrition Ministry, Rev. Fr. Locarno O. Anor, CP, Parish Priest, Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, and Rev. Fr. Robertus Sutopo kapwa SCJ, Parish Priest, San Roque Parish.

Her Excellency Maria Lourdes Bernadette Z. Banson, Ambassador-designate, Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta Embassy to the Republic of the Philippines, shared her sincerest gratitude to the Lord for leading a team who are instruments of giving birth to Jesus through the mothers and their newborn child. She also added that Jesus will come through milk, food, care, and nurturing.

Also present were Ms. Chevy Salvador, Oma Mama Project Head; Ms. Vida Misa, Executive Assistant; Volunteers from the Sovereign Order of Malta Embassy to the Philippines; Dr. Mary Jane Tan, Lay Coordinator, Health Program; Mrs. Dolores Salvador, Lay Coordinator Nutrition Program, Mrs. Mely Gubat, Mrs. Rose Enriquez, Ms. Mary Jane Masangkay, Program Officer, Humanitarian Programs - Caritas Novaliches; Ms. Amy Domopoy, Program Officer, Ms. Annalyn Angeles, Program Coordinator - Caritas Novaliches; and Mr. Dennis Destacamento, Program Officer - Assisi Development Foundation Inc.

On Saturday, August 22, the Commission on Worship
and the Office of Master of Ceremonies of the Diocese gathered the coordinators of the Parish Ministry of Altar Servers (MAS) for a General Assembly held at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Capitol Park Homes, Quezon City.

The gathering began with the praying of Lauds, followed by the opening remarks of our beloved Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D. Then Rev. Fr. Michael George Villasis reflected on the spirituality of service rooted in our baptism, reminding everyone that liturgical ministry is first and foremost a response to our baptismal vocation.

The Diocese’s Master of Ceremonies, Bro. Marc Benjamin Martin, shared the motivation behind the gathering of Parish MAS Coordinators and presented the goals of the assembly, particularly the centrality of paschal mysteries we celebrate in the liturgy.

Rev. Msgr. Jesus Romulo RaΓ±ada further emphasized the importance of character formation in the life and ministry of lay liturgical leaders, reminding the participants that effective service at the altar must be grounded in faith, discipline, humility, and a genuine love for the Church.

In this same meeting, the representatives elected interim cluster representatives who will help coordinate the various activities of MAS of Diocese.

The elected interim cluster representatives are as follows;
Caloocan Cluster: MJ Bernejo of Saint Padre Pio Parish
Tandang-Sora Quirino Cluster: Dhon Hernandez of Ascension of Our Lord Parish
Commonwealth Cluster: Miguel Palaroan of The Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish

The assembly concluded with a prayer and blessing led by Rev. Msgr. RaΓ±ada.

May this gathering strengthen our MAS coodinators in their commitment to serve the Lord and His Church, and may their ministry continue to contribute to the sanctification of the faithful and the greater glory of God.

On August 22, the San Bartolome de Novaliches Parish community gathered in prayer and thanksgiving for the solemn installation of Rev. Fr. Antonio E. Labiao Jr. as the sixth parish priest of the parish, alongside the celebration of the 7th Episcopal Ordination Anniversary of Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D., Bishop of Novaliches.

The celebration was concelebrated by the priests of the Diocese of Novaliches and graced by the presence of the emeritus bishops of the Diocese, Most Rev. Teodoro Bacani Jr., D.D. and Most Rev. Antonio Tobias, D.D., who joined the faithful in this momentous celebration.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the Canonical Installation of Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D. as the 3rd Bishop of Novaliches.

Just two days ago, on August 22, we also celebrated the 7th anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination, a journey of faithful service, pastoral care, and generous love for the Church.

As we celebrate these milestones, we give thanks for the gift of his episcopal ministry and pray that the Lord may continue to strengthen and guide Bishop Robbie as he shepherds the Diocese of Novaliches.

Happy 7th Episcopal Ordination and Canonical Installation Anniversary, Bishop Robbie! May your ministry continue to be a blessing to God’s people.
