Devotion: Living a Crucified Life
**“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…”**
This verse, written by Paul the Apostle, reminds us of a powerful truth: when we follow Jesus, our old self—our sinful nature, pride, and self-centered desires—is put to death with Him. It doesn’t mean we physically die, but spiritually, we are made new.
Now, instead of living for ourselves, **Christ lives in us**. Our thoughts, actions, and decisions are guided by Him. The life we live today is not based on our strength, but on **faith in Jesus**, who loves us deeply and gave Himself for us.
This verse also speaks of identity. You are not defined by your past mistakes or failures. You are now someone in whom Christ lives. That means your life has purpose, direction, and hope.
**Reflection:**
Every day is an opportunity to surrender your will and allow Jesus to lead. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.
