Today, we celebrate the feast of Nuestro Padre Jesus en el Santo Sepulcro de Landayan, affectionately known by devotees as โ€œLolo Uweng,โ€ one of the most beloved devotions to the suffering and buried Christ in the Philippines.

For generations, countless faithful have journeyed to Landayan, San Pedro, Laguna, seeking healing, comfort, miracles, and strength through the intercession of the Seรฑor. Though depicted in the silence of the Holy Sepulchre, Lolo Uweng continues to remind devotees that even in moments of suffering, darkness, and waiting, Christ remains present and victorious through His Resurrection.

The deep devotion to Lolo Uweng reflects the Filipino peopleโ€™s enduring faith and trust in Godโ€™s mercy, especially amid lifeโ€™s burdens and trials. Through prayer and devotion, many continue to find hope, peace, and renewed faith beneath the gaze of the Santo Sepulcro.

Phase 5 of our renovation continues as we prepare for our upcoming 50th Golden Anniversary.

In this stage, focus is given to the repair and repainting of the Main Altar image of the Crucified Christ, which has long been at the heart of our worship and devotion. For many years, this sacred image has stood at the center of our altar, drawing the faithful into prayer and reminding us of Christโ€™s sacrifice and abiding presence in our community. As a focal point of our liturgical life, its care and preservation remain of great importance.

Due to the natural effects of time and exposure, restoration is now being undertaken with utmost care, using appropriate materials and methods to maintain its original form and dignity. This effort seeks not only to renew its appearance but also to safeguard its significance for future generations.

As we continue this journey, we remain committed to honoring what has long been central to our faith, carrying it forward with reverence as we approach this meaningful milestone.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Christ the Eternal High Priest, honoring Jesus Christ as the one true and everlasting Priest who offered Himself completely for the salvation of the world. Through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection, Christ became the perfect mediator between God and humanity, continually interceding for His people.

This feast is celebrated every Thursday after Pentecost, highlighting the deep connection between Christโ€™s priesthood, the Holy Eucharist, and the institution of the priesthood at the Last Supper. Though devotion to Christ the Eternal High Priest existed earlier in some places, the feast began to spread more widely in the 20th century and was later approved for liturgical celebration in various countries and dioceses by the Holy See.

The feast reminds the faithful to pray for priests, for vocations to the priesthood, and to always recognize Christ as the source of every grace received through the sacraments. As the Eternal High Priest, Jesus continues to guide, sanctify, and nourish His Church through His abiding presence in the Eucharist.

We warmly invite all parishioners and devotees of our beloved Patroness, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, to accompany her as she graces the Cubao Grand Marian Procession on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in celebration of the Solemn Episcopal Coronation of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at the Most Holy Redeemer Parishโ€”Brixton Hill, Quezon City.

The Pontifical Mass will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the Grand Marian Procession at 5:30 PM featuring Marian images from the different parishes and shrines of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao.

The venerated image of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will be ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฎ ๐—ก๐—ผ. ๐Ÿณ. We invite everyone to wear white and bring candles as we prayerfully accompany our Blessed Mother in this special celebration of faith and devotion.
