𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟰𝟱 𝗢𝗙 𝟱𝟬 | 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗬 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗗

Some vocations begin quietly, nurtured through years of simple service. For one of OLMMP's sons, that journey began here, with his receiving of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion, and through his early exposure to parish life and service. At the age of eight, he joined the Knights of the Altar.

Under the guidance of OLMMP catechists, particularly Sis. Rowena Agramon and Sis. Mameng Sese, he became actively involved in the Children's Mass, serving as lector, collector, and choir member. At ten, Sis. Mameng began bringing him to public schools to speak to students and share the Gospel. He eventually became a "Fisher," a young volunteer catechist who assisted in the Mayflower Catechism Classes in the BEC Pamayanan.

His ministry continued to grow. In the early 1990s, he joined MOLDA, presenting dramatic interpretations of the Sunday Gospel during the Children's Mass. During high school, he also led the Zone 7 Choir, serving both in the main church and in street Masses within the Pamayanan community.

Through these years of service, a vocation was quietly taking shape.

After completing his formation in Philosophy and Theology, he was ordained a deacon on March 21, 2009, and a priest on March 19, 2010. And in a beautiful return to where his journey began, he celebrated his First Mass at OLMMP, with Fr. Arnel Recinto as parish priest.

𝑻𝑨𝑷𝑨𝑻 𝑺𝑨 𝑲𝑨𝑻𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑵, 𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑮𝑨𝑵𝑮 𝑲𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑻𝑨𝒀𝑨𝑵

Ngayong Agosto 29, ay ipinagdiriwang ang Paggunita sa Pagpapakasakit ni San Juan, ang Tagapagbinyag, Martir.

Si San Juan ay hindi natakot magsalita ng katotohanan, kahit nangangahulugan ito ng pagharap sa kapangyarihan ni Herodes. Dahil sa kanyang katapangan na ipahayag ang tama at ituwid ang mali, siya ay ipinabilanggo at sa huli ay pinugutan ng ulo.

Ang kanyang kamatayan ay naging saksi sa isang pananampalatayang hindi natinag ng takot. Hindi niya ipinagpalit ang katotohanan para sa kanyang kaligtasan, sapagkat higit niyang pinili ang katapatan sa Diyos.

Sa kanyang pagkamartir, nawa’y matutuhan din nating manindigan sa katotohanan, maging matapang sa paggawa ng mabuti, at manatiling tapat kay Kristo kahit may kapalit na sakripisyo.

𝗔𝗗 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗢𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗦, 𝗗𝗜𝗬𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗨𝗕𝗔𝗢!

Buong galak naming binabati ang ating minamahal na Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao sa pagdiriwang ng ika-23 Anibersaryo ng Pagkakatatag nito bilang isang ganap na Diyosesis.

Sa loob ng 23 taon, patuloy tayong tinipon ng Panginoon bilang isang sambayanang naglalakbay sa pananampalataya, naglilingkod sa kapwa, at sama-samang nagpapatotoo sa Mabuting Balita.

Nawa’y patuloy tayong gabayan ng Espiritu Santo at pagpalain ang ating mga pastol, pari, relihiyoso, at layko, upang higit pa nating maisabuhay ang misyon ng Simbahan sa ating pamayanan.

Mula sa Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish - Project 4, isang taos-pusong pagbati at panalangin para sa ating buong Diyosesis!

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟰𝟰 𝗢𝗙 𝟱𝟬 | 𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦

His openness to the young also gave birth to the Youth Mass, originally envisioned as a more vibrant and youth-oriented celebration inspired by the energy of The Feast. The initiative helped the youth flourish, with many eventually taking leadership roles not only in the parish but at the vicariate and diocesan levels.

During Fr. Arnel’s term, the parish also began to rediscover the story of St. Catherine Labouré and her vital role in the history of the Miraculous Medal. What began as curiosity led to deeper research and creative ways of sharing her story through art, displays, and other media. The Basement was named the St. Catherine Labouré Room, and the parish introduced its first life-size image of the saint, giving greater visibility to the woman whose humble “yes” became part of the story of the Medal. Through this, devotion was enriched by understanding: the parish did not simply wear the Medal—it began to know the story behind it.

Formation likewise became a continuing rhythm of parish life. PREX, LSS, and PAM-led seminars formed part of a year-round cycle, complemented by the Monthly Reunion with the Lord under the Formation Ministry and the Charismatic Group's Thank God It's Friday (TGIF). Prominent speakers were invited, giving parishioners opportunities to learn, reflect, and deepen their faith.

Perhaps most quietly transformative was the small-group movement centered on gratitude. What began with only five people gathering every Thursday evening eventually multiplied into more groups. Its simple mission was profound: to reshape the parish's mindset toward positivity and gratitude, one parishioner at a time.

Looking back, Fr. Arnel's legacy is not measured only by buildings improved or programs established. It is found in the spaces he transformed, the people he empowered, the young leaders he formed, the children he supported, the talents he discovered, and the communities he strengthened.

At the heart of his ministry was kindness and compassion, expressed through bold ideas, generous opportunities, and a deep belief in people.

𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟳 𝗡𝗔 𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗢, 𝗠𝗚𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗞𝗬𝗔! 🙏💒🌱

Narito na tayo sa huling linggo ng ating Jubilee Challenge! Habang papalapit tayo sa ating Golden Jubilee at sa Dedication ng ating Simbahan, inaanyayahan tayong isabuhay ang stewardship, ang pagiging mabuting katiwala ng lahat ng biyayang ipinagkatiwala sa atin ng Diyos.

Ngayong linggo, hamunin natin ang ating sarili na maglingkod gamit ang ating mga talento, maging bukas-palad sa pagsuporta sa ating Simbahan, at maging responsable sa pangangalaga sa ating Common Home. Iwasan ang pag-aaksaya, bawasan ang paggamit ng single-use plastics, at matutong muling gamitin at pahalagahan ang mga bagay na mayroon tayo.

Sa pagtatapos ng ating pitong linggong hamon, nawa'y dalhin natin ang mga aral na ito sa ating araw-araw na pamumuhay. Mula sa pagtanggap ng biyaya, tungo sa pagbabahagi nito; mula sa pagiging tagatanggap, tungo sa pagiging mabuting katiwala.

Sama-sama nating tapusin ang Jubilee Challenge nang may pusong mapagpasalamat, kamay na handang maglingkod, at buhay na marunong mangalaga. 💛💙

𝑹𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑼𝑵𝑻𝑰𝑳 𝑯𝑬 𝑭𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑫 𝑮𝑶𝑫

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of Saint Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, Father and Doctor of the Church, whose remarkable life reminds us that no heart is ever beyond the reach of God’s grace.

For many years, Augustine searched for truth and lived far from the Christian faith. Through the prayers of his mother, Saint Monica, the guidance of Saint Ambrose, and the transforming grace of God, he experienced a profound conversion and was baptized in 387.

After his conversion, Augustine devoted his life entirely to Christ. He became a priest and later Bishop of Hippo, serving the Church through his preaching, pastoral ministry, and profound writings. His teachings continue to shape Christian thought and spirituality to this day.

Augustine also inspired a community of clergy who embraced the Rule of Saint Augustine, which became the spiritual foundation of the Order of Saint Augustine (Augustinians) and other religious communities.
