Last January 9-11, the CBCP-Sangguniang Layko ng Pilipinas held their strategic planning conference with Bishop Ver Caermare, DD, (Diocese of Dipolog), who is the head of the said Council. The Hijas de Jesus community is grateful to the Bishop for officiating at their morning mass for two days. Below are photos with the Bishop and some members of the SLP and sisters.

Instead of a Christmas party, the Institute of General Education of the National University, through its Departments of Science and Philosophy, chose to share joy through a gift-giving of toys for children held at Manresa Retreat House.
Around 100 children from the Dagot and Makaturing areas near Manresa were blessed by this simple yet meaningful gesture. We are grateful to these young men and women who generously gave of themselves, choosing to bring joy to others.

Happening Now…
Around 50 tricycle drivers and operators, accompanied by some of their families, are gathered at Herranz Hall for an Advent Recollection organized by the Manresa Retreat House. Led by Fr. Fernando Sabado, LRMS, the morning includes prayer, reflection, confession, and will conclude with a Eucharistic Celebration at the MRH Chapel. In gratitude for their time, participants will also receive simple gifts during lunch...

Happening Now at Manresa
In the spirit of Christmas, Manresa shared gifts with around 150 neighbors from the Dagot and Makaturing areas of our barangay. The activity began with a short catechesis before the orderly distribution of goods, attended to by the sisters and staff in batches of ten. More than gifts, it was a moment of sharing, gratitude, and Christmas hope. We thank our generous families and friends who shared their blessings so that we, too, could share with others.

The Lay Collaborators and Staff of Manresa Retreat House, TCMJ, and Mater Dei Houses gathered for a meaningful Advent Recollection guided by Fr. Greg Gregory, O.P., centered on the theme “Puso sa Pasko.”
The recollection began with Fr. Greg’s heartfelt question, “Kumusta ang inyong mga puso?”—inviting everyone to pause, reflect, listen, and share. They also had a confession. The half-day gathering concluded with a Eucharistic Celebration, making it a grace-filled and beautiful preparation for the coming of Christmas.
