For four Sundays, we've tackled a very inspiring talk series focusing on our personal well-being. This set of discussions about knowing ourselves, showing empathy, showcasing our abilities, saying "yes" to commitment were some of the fundamentals we've shared as humans. As we end this talk series, let us recall some insights that we've learned from our four amazing guest speakers. โ๏ธ

As Dr. Mela engagingly discussed the difference between Apathy, Sympathy and Empathy, we have also learned that demonstrating empathy requires effort and understanding, and that we have different ways of expressing it โ whether through our thoughts, emotions or actions. As humans, we are naturally programmed to be empathetic since birth, and it takes a lot of practice for us to listen, comprehend and show our genuine concern to one another. ๐ซ

Ate AJ Delfie's emotional talk reminded us of how we are worth searching and loving, regardless of our scars and imperfections. She brought up that our insecurities and past mistakes don't define our worth, and with this, no sin can ever separate us from God's love. Citing the story of a Parable of the Lost Sheep, she pointed out how God loves us so much that He knows everything about us โ our wins, our losses, what we want, what we need, and that He is always there and ready to be with us no matter what, because we're His children. ๐ค

As Mommy Mich shared her initial response when she and her husband had received their higher calling in this community, she told us that God is calling us not because we are perfect but because He entrusts us to fulfill His will. At times, we might feel reluctant about the roles He appointed us. But by our faith, and because we trust His will, we may have our capability to show our various skills and talents that He has given us, since that is what He expects us to do, and that He assigned us to fulfill these tasks and abilities for a reason. ๐

As the weekend seminar is nearly approaching, Kuya Lep reminded us that through changes and hardships is when our commitment is going to be tested. In his talk, he highlighted the core foundations of "Commitment", which came from the words "Come", "Meet" and "Meant". In order for us to fully commit our duties and responsibilities, we must make our availability to show up, improve our abilities over time, present our true attitudes and intentions on why we serve, be able to adapt ourselves to constant changes, and be open for whatever the aftermath will be as we serve. ๐ค
