Psalm 71:23 — “My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.”
There is a special kind of joy that comes when our hearts and our voices align. True worship isn’t just about the words we say or the melodies we follow. It is about where those words come from.
The Psalmist tells us that his lips rejoice because his soul has been redeemed. To be redeemed means to be bought back, rescued, and set free by God’s grace. When we truly understand that we belong to Him, our praise becomes more than just a song—it becomes a celebration of our identity in Christ.
Today, as you go about your morning, take a moment to remember what God has done for you. He didn't just mend your life; He redeemed your soul. Let that truth give you a reason to sing today, even if it’s just a quiet song in your heart.
Lord, thank You for the gift of redemption. Thank You for choosing me and making me Your own. May my words and my life today be a joyful song of praise to You. Amen.
