SONDAY, MAY 31ST

THE KINDNESS OF GOD!

And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him?... (2 Samuel 9:3).

In the Old Testament, the word translated “mercy” comes from the Hebrew word “hesed.” It means lovingkindness, but more specifically, it is covenant kindness; kindness rooted in covenant, not in merit. The example of David and Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, gives us a clear and practical picture of how covenant mercy works (2 Samuel 9).

Long after Jonathan’s death and well into his reign as king, David was moved by the covenant he had made with Jonathan. He asked a deliberate question: “…Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?” (2 Samuel 9:1).

David wasn’t asking if there was someone he could merely acknowledge. The word “shew” used means to demonstrate. David was looking for someone to whom he could practically and visibly demonstrate covenant kindness. In fact, in the 3rd verse, David called it the “kindness of God.” How profound!

Mephibosheth was lame in both feet and practically abandoned and forgotten by most. However, he was summoned to the king’s presence. But when he came before David, he fell on his face in fear. He expected judgment from the king who had succeeded his grandfather, King Saul.

But David’s first words were “Fear not”; that’s always the language of mercy. David restored to him all the land that had belonged to Saul and then offered him something greater still: a permanent place at the king’s table. This was covenant kindness, which David called “the kindness of God.”

Why did he call it the kindness of God? It’s because covenant kindness is shown toward someone who has no merit or claim to it. That person doesn’t qualify. True mercy flows from the greater to the lesser. By virtue of that mercy, the one with nothing is brought into royalty, lifted, honoured, and seated at the table, just as we are today seated together with Christ. This is the transforming power of covenant kindness.

It reminds of the Scripture: “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory...” (1 Samuel 2:8). Perhaps there’s someone coming to your spirit even now that requires your covenant kindness; go ahead and show that one the kindness of God.

PRAYER,
Dear Father, I thank you for your covenant kindness and mercy toward me. I receive your lovingkindness with understanding and gratitude. I live in the consciousness of your mercy, enjoying the life of honour, fellowship and provision that you have brought me into, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

📖Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel… (Numbers 23:23).

🔴In the Old Testament, Balak the king of Moab was angry with Israel and hired the prophet called Balaam, to curse Israel. More to Balak’s chagrin, each time Balaam was to curse Israel, blessings came forth from his mouth. Then he said to Balak, “Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he (God) hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it” (Numbers 23:20).

🔴Balaam eventually gave up trying to curse Israel after three failed attempts.

🔴The Bible says he saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel; and so, he refused to continue seeking enchantments against Israel (Numbers 24:1).

🔴In other words, he realized it was futile to curse or concoct negative schemes against those whom the Lord had blessed.

🔴His conclusion on the matter was what we read in Numbers 23:23. See how the Good News Bible puts it: “There is no magic charm, no witchcraft, That can be used against the nation of Israel….”

🔴Today, such things still happen: people go to voodoo priests, sorcerers, and diviners to put a curse on a colleague or someone they’ve perceived as an enemy.

🔴Sometimes, people who never had any history or trace of sickness could suddenly come up with a terminal disease or even become lunatic, as a result of a curse placed on them.

🔴Oftentimes, those who have been cursed aren’t even aware that it’s a curse that’s working against them; their problems defy every medical or human effort.

🙌🙌🙌But thanks be unto God! Once you’re born again, no one can curse you, because you’re the blessed of the Lord.

🔴The new creation is the blessed of God.

🔴We’re His chosen ones: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” (1 Peter 2:9).

📖Ephesians 1:3-4 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

📖Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

🔴Never be afraid of any sorcerer, magician, or voodoo priest; their actions against you are futile, no matter how they try.

🔴You can’t be bewitched.

🔴You can’t be charmed.

🔴You can’t be cursed.

🔴You walk in blessings only, and only the blessed Word of the Lord can come to pass in your life. Hallelujah!

𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐋𝐄!

🔴God is not choosing whom to bless and whom not to bless.

🔴He’s not choosing to bless one and curse the other. He has cho- sen to bless everyone in Christ Jesus.

🔴The question now is: How do we tap into what belongs to us? How do we receive and enjoy the blessings that are already ours? How do we receive a miracle without trying to get God to give it, since He already has? You may be in a situation right now where you know what you need is a miracle.

🔴You know if anyone can help you, it has to be God.

🔴I want you to know that that miracle is close to you now.

🔴Let me begin to show you how to re- ceive a miracle.

🔴“And a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suf- fered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press be- hind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trem- bling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith had made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:25-

🔴This is a beautiful story, but it wasn’t written for us to admire the power of Jesus or applaud the woman’s faith.

🔴By following the example of this woman, you will be taking the same sure steps she took towards her miracle, and you will have the same results.

🔴HEAR IT AND BELIEVE
This woman had suffered a terrible hemorrhage for 12 years, but the process of her change began when she heard of Jesus and believed in His ability to heal her.

🔴You must HEAR IT. This is the first step towards your miracle.

🔴“...faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God.”(Romans 10:17).
If you don’t hear, faith cannot come. Faith is not something you are born with from your mother’s womb.

🔴You may say ‘Well, since I was born, I’ve never had faith.’ But now that you need a miracle, hear the Word of God and believe! That’s the only way faith can come to you.

🔴God’s Word imparts faith to the human spirit.

🔴He has made the human spirit with the ability and the capacity to receive the Word of God and develop faith.

🔴No matter who you are and what your case is, when you listen to the Word of God and believe it, faith will come to you.

🔴This is the reason we publicise our healing crusades.

🔴Some people ask, “Why do you advertise?” We are simply adopting the same strategy that Jesus used to reach people in His day.

🔴He organized publicity campaigns to create awareness among the people and inspire them to come receive their healing.

🔴At one time, He sent out His twelve disciples to preach the Gospel and heal the sick (Mathew 10: 5-8).

🔴Another time He sent seventy disciples to go before Him into ev- ery city where He was billed to preach. They went announcing His coming, healing the sick as they did (Luke 10:1-9).

🔴“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14).

🔴This is why it’s so important for the message to be proclaimed loudly enough for people to hear it.

🔴There are so many people desperately in need of a miracle, and until they hear of such meetings where the power of God is present to heal them, they may never have faith to be touched by God and receive their healing.

🔴You’ve got to hear God’s Word about your situation.

🔴Ask yourself, “What has God said about my case?” When you hear it, you can know the right steps to take.

🔴If what His Word says is that He’s going to do something about it, then you can ask Him to do it, but if He says He’s already done it, there is no use asking Him to do it anymore. What you ought to do is receive what He has already
done.

🔴This woman had suffered twelve
long years.

🔴Some of the doctors who treated her didn’t know what to do for her anymore.

🔴Others just took advantage of her desperate situation to extort money from her.

🔴She had become poor from paying them, and all she had to show for it was her worsened state.

🔴She could have thought there was nobody to help her anymore and given up all hope after those twelve years.

🔴Then, she heard about Jesus.

🔴She heard all the wonderful tes- timonies about Him, how He was opening blind eyes, unstopping deaf ears, healing the crippled, making the maimed whole again, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, and she believed.

🔴Faith rose up in her. She was on course to receiving a spectacular miracle!

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗬

🔴Something very important about grace that you must be conscious of, is that it craves recognition.

🔴If you fail to recognise grace, it’ll cringe; it’ll withdraw and cease to function.

🔴It’s part of the reason some Christians aren’t seeing the manifestation of grace in their lives as they should.

🔴Learn to celebrate grace.

🔴Consciously acknowledge that you’re full of grace, surrounded with divine favour everywhere, and every day. You’ll be amazed at the increased blessings and manifestations of the Spirit you’ll experience in your life.

🔴Recognise and celebrate grace.

📖 James 4:6 MSG ...It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.

🔴Grace gives you greater ability and opens doors for you.

🔴When God promotes you, He increases His grace on your life. With that increased grace, you’re able to accomplish much more.

🔴Grace craves recognition.

🔴You might have noticed that the name, “Grace” is most commonly answered by ladies. It sort of explains something about grace: it’s ladylike; something alluring.

🔴A beautiful lady likes to be recognised; she dresses adorably because she likes to be acknowledged. That’s really how grace is.

🔴Remember, the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of grace; so, in celebrating grace, you’re celebrating Him.

🔴Therefore, He’ll keep manifesting Himself—His beauty and glory—in your life.

🔴Suddenly, you find that you’re being called and chosen for blessings you didn’t even qualify for. Even people who profess not to like you will be doing good things for you. That’s the power of grace.

🔴Even now, God’s grace is increased in your life, causing His glory to be revealed in all that you do, ushering you into your next level of greatness, success, and promotion.

🔴Receive it. Celebrate it. Affirm it. Glory to God!

🔴When you pray, learn to say, "thank you Lord for your grace".

SUCCESS, VICTORY AND INCREASE

And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity] (Psalm 1:3 AMPC).

God never produces failures. When a person is united with Christ, he or she steps into a life designed only for success, victory and increase. The nature of God in you produces excellence, progress and greatness. It’s the reality of the new creation life.

I came into this understanding very early. I was born again before I was nine years old and began to preach the Gospel not long after. I started winning my friends to Christ, and shortly after I was ten, I began a fellowship. By fifteen, I was already holding crusades. I have walked this path long enough to know beyond any argument that the Word works.

When God sets you on course and your mind is stayed on Him, the Word declares that He will keep you in perfect peace because you trust in Him. That peace is the peace of prosperity, a life that continually moves forward. The Scripture also says concerning the one who’s in Christ: Whatsoever he does shall prosper.

That’s the destiny of the one who lives by the Word; we saw that in our opening scripture. The one who doesn’t follow the advice of the ungodly is blessed. Some people allow ungodly friends, relatives, or neighbours to shape their decisions; no!

The blessed man delights in the Word of God and meditates on it day and night. He gives attention to the Word, and the Word shapes his life. The result is extraordinary: He becomes like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bearing fruit in season, and his leaf doesn’t wither; that means no failure with you. What a life!

When you give yourself to the Word, it programmes you for a one-way journey in life—upward and forward only. The Word is seed, and meditating on it keeps it deeply rooted in your spirit to govern your mentality such that you think success, victory, and glory only. Your life becomes the demonstration of the Word, causing you to have good success (Joshua 1:8). Hallelujah.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of unending success that you’ve given me in Christ. Your Word works mightily in me, producing excellence, prosperity and victory; I heap success upon success. I think the Word, speak the Word and walk in the light of the Word every day, in Jesus Name. Amen.

GRACE, MERCY, AND PEACE!

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ... (2 John 1:3).

In several of the apostolic letters, the Spirit emphasizes a powerful benediction. For example, in some of Paul’s writings, he opens with the words, “grace, mercy, and peace, as in 1 Timothy 1:2, “...Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.” He repeats the same blessing in his second letter to Timothy and again to Titus.

The apostle John echoes it as well: “Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ...” (2 John 1:3). Why did the apostles consistently pronounce grace, mercy, and peace? It’s because of their profound importance in the Christian life.

The Scriptures reveal men and women who found grace in the sight of God. Noah, for example, found grace before the Lord even when judgment was determined upon the earth. Genesis 6:8 tells us, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Grace positioned him for preservation and victory. This shows that when grace locates a man, mercy follows.

Grace, mercy and peace work together. Romans 5:1-2 connects our peace with God to the grace of Jesus Christ in which we stand: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand….”

When you find grace in God’s sight, He becomes merciful toward you. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Grace is divine favour extended to you. It’s God’s work upon a person’s life.

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word is “chen” and it means God’s gracious favour. Through that grace, through that act of divine favour, He exerts His influence upon your life to see to it that you succeed. His grace works upon your mind, helping you to think the right thoughts. It influences your heart and guides you to make the right decisions, beyond your natural ability or human intelligence.

Grace covers you, shields you, protects you, and keeps you from grave errors. Walk in this consciousness. You’re not left to your human ingenuity and ability alone; the influence of heaven is upon your life, directing your steps and causing you to produce results that exceed natural capacity. This is the life God has given you in Christ.

PRAYER,
Dear Father, I thank you for your abundant grace, mercy, and peace at work in my life. Your divine influence guides my thoughts, decisions and actions, leading me in the path of success and righteousness, established in victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇

🟤2 Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

🟤This is what the Word declares about us. We don’t try to walk by faith, we are those that walk by faith.

🟤Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hear- ing, and hearing by the word of God.”

🟤The Influence of The Word of God
The Word of God brings faith.

🟤And faith is such a vital part of our lives, because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

🟤Paul was preaching at a city called Lystra, and there sat a certain man who was impotent in his feet, sitting on the ground just before him (Acts 14:7-10).

🟤Only God knows how folded his legs must have been. He had no power in his feet and he couldn’t walk without aid, being crippled from his mother’s womb.

🟤But he listened to Paul as he preached the gospel of the Name of Jesus.

🟤Acts 14:9-10, “The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand up- right on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.”

🟤This man was already about 40 years old, and had never walked all his life. I can imagine Paul must have been preaching from the 53rd chapter of Isaiah.

🟤“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5).

🟤And immediately the man responded to the message, faith was stirred up in his heart. Paul look-ing at him perceived that he had faith to be.

🟤Faith came to him when he heard the gospel. Paul didn’t even have to pray for him. No formality, no ceremony, just preaching a gospel about Jesus and telling everybody there’s life in His.

🟤He was already telling them there’s salvation, healing, health e.t.c in that Name. He must have been telling them to do whatever they couldn’t do before, and the crippled man responded, “Yes, I can now walk in the Name of Jesus!” Faith comes by hearing, and hearing or walk-ing or seeing by the Word of God.

🟤But do you know that every bona-fide child of God has faith?

🟤The Bible says in Romans 12:3 that “...God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

🟤If God has dealt to us the measure of faith, then the unconverted doesn’t have it.

🟤Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

🟤Faith can’t be understood by the senses.

🟤This is the reason when you study all the dic- tionaries of the world you can’t find a proper defini- tion of faith, because the men of the senses don’t know what faith is.

🟤God has given to each of us the measure of faith. And as we study the Word of God and open our hearts to it, our faith is further built up.

🟤This is why it’s important for us to be rightly taught the Word of God.

🟤There is so much unbelief and ignorance to- gether with wrong teaching. And when people are taught wrong, they will think wrong.

🟤They will also believe wrong, talk wrong and eventually live wrong.

🟤But when you’re taught right, you’ll believe right, think right, talk right and live right. It pays to have an understanding of the Word of God.

🟤The kingdom of God is not by observation. We walk by faith, not by sight!

🟤All this time, you’ve thought the answer to your situation will come from heaven, and you had probably been pa-tiently waiting for it to drop through the ceiling.

🟤But when you’re supernaturally alert to the Word of God, you’ll discover the answer to all your questions.

🟤The Bible contains the solution to man’s problems; his needs and desires. If you have a Bible, you are blessed.

🟤God will always direct you back to the Book (the Bible), and show you the so- lution, notwithstanding the thrilling expe- riences you may have had in His Presence.

🟤Experiences, feelings and signs won’t change you because signs can’t change anybody; only words have the ability to change people. It doesn’t matter what you see or experience in life, it will neither change you nor your situation.

🟤The children of Israel saw fire and smoke on Mount Sinai and when God spoke out of the midst of the fire, they were scared and ran backwards but it didn’t change them. Right after these great sights, they still grumbled and disobeyed God.

🟤Only words can transform a man,and this is because they’re both are made of the same substance. Man is a spirit be- ing and the only materials that have the ability to get right into his spirit and mix with his substance are ‘words’.

🟤Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quick- eneth; the flesh profiteth noth- ing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)

⭐️“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14:18)

🟤Prior to this time Jesus had told His disciples that He would be leaving them soon, and this made them all very sad.

🟤He was their Teacher, Comforter, Healer, the answer to all their questions; He meant ev- erything to them.

🟤And now He said He would be going away and they wouldn’t be able to go with Him.

🟤Jesus knowing their hearts assured them that it was better for them that He left, otherwise the Comforter wouldn’t come (John 16:7).

🟤He said He had a lot of things to tell them, but they wouldn’t un- derstand them yet, because they were mysteries that could only be spiritually discerned or understood.

🟤But the Com- forter that was coming wouldn’t just talk to them, but would live in them, revealing these mysteries directly to their spirits. (John 16:12-13).

🟤But, who is this Comforter?
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Fa- ther will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remem- brance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26)

🟤The Comforter is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is exactly like Jesus.

🟤The word ‘Comforter’ is just one of the syn- onyms for the Greek word ‘Paraklette’; it also means teacher, helper, advocate, strengthener, and one called along side.

🟤He would unveil the Word to you, and cause revelation knowledge to be im- parted to your spirit, so you may live by it.

🟤This revelation transcends human wis- dom.

🟤Now when you take your Bible, places you never knew were there, words you never knew were in it, just leap out of the pages of the Book and come alive to you.

🟤This is by the power of the Holy Ghost. You may have read those scriptures before, but you didn’t know that the solu-tion was there.

🟤But now by the Spirit, you know when, where and how to do the Word and get your miracle.

🟤You just know that your desire is as good as done.

🟤You can now live the Word beyond the written pages.

🟤Everything in your life is put in order to conform to the Word of God.

🟤Now you’re unstoppable, indomi- table, living the victorious, supernatural life to which He has called everyone of His children.

RHAPSODY OF REALITY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
THURSDAY, 28TH MAY

PRESERVED BY HIS DIVINE POWER!

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Our opening scripture clearly outlines fear as a phenomenon that’s not part of your spiritual nature or make-up. So, if you ever sense fear trying to take a hold of you, refuse it. In studying the Scriptures, you’d notice that whenever the Lord appeared to anyone in Bible days, often, His first words were “Fear not” as you’d observe in Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9, and Revelation 1:17.

He commands us to refuse fear regardless of what is happening in the world. You carry the seal of God upon your life; a divine decree that separates you from everything that hurts or binds. You’re separated unto God. Remember the words of the Master: “…whosoever believeth in him should not perish…” (John 3:16).

That’s because His seal of protection is on you (Ephesians 1:13). Always declare boldly, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

You carry the glory of salvation with you. You don’t get into trouble, looking for escape; with every problem or danger, salvation is present; deliverance is sure. Before the challenge appears, you’re already ahead in victory. So, as you go about your life, ministry, and daily routine, let nothing frighten or intimidate you.

If circumstances look threatening, remember who you are: more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). The Lord Himself is your salvation. You’re preserved by His divine power, shielded by His presence, and marked for endless triumph. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ….” Hallelujah!

Therefore, live boldly and purposefully; speak with authority. Walk in the consciousness that you’re not of this world. The life in you is superior to every crisis, and the Spirit of God in you keeps you above harm. The Bible says, “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

CONFESSION:
The Lord is my refuge and my strength, my salvation, in whom I’m shielded and preserved from all evil. His life in me is superior to every crisis and keeps me permanently over and above everything that hurts or binds. I have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Hallelujah!
