This is how I understand grace.. I sinned, I failed, I made a mistake. Who is the Holy Spirit?
Yes, you heard me right when I say WHO because the Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity.
He is God (supreme being) and a person (an individual that possesses qualities of a human being like having emotions but does not have a physical body because He is a spirit) at the same time.

He is the promised gift of our Lord Jesus Christ to help us in our daily walk until Jesus comes back.
