26 May 2026 | Memorial of Saint Philip Neri, Priest - White | Tuesday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time
First Reading: 1 Peter 1:10-16
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 98:1, 2-3ab, 3cd-4
Gospel: Mark 10:28-31
Reflection:
In todayβs Gospel, Jesus promises that those who leave everything for His sake will receive even moreβboth now and in the life to come, though not without trials. Following Christ involves sacrifice, but it also brings grace and reward. In the first reading, we are called to be holy in all we do, just as God is holy. As we remember Saint Philip Neri, known for his joyful spirit and love for others, we are reminded that holiness can be lived with joy and love. We are invited to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and trust in His promises.
Prayer:
Saint Philip Neri, pray for us that we may follow Christ with joy and faithfulness in our daily lives. Amen.
