27 August 2026 | Memorial of Saint Monica - White | Thursday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time [II]

First Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:1-9
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 145:2-3, 4-5, 6-7
Gospel: Matthew 24:42-51

Reflection:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus urges us to stay awake and be ready, for we do not know the day or the hour of His coming. Readiness is not simply waiting but faithfully carrying out our daily responsibilities according to God's will. In the first reading, Saint Paul reminds the Corinthians that God is faithful and will strengthen them until the end. As we commemorate Saint Monica, whose persistent prayers and unwavering trust led to the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine, we are reminded never to lose hope. Perseverance in prayer, faithfulness to God, and trust in His perfect timing always bear fruit.

Prayer:
Lord, help us live each day prepared for Your coming. Through the example of Saint Monica, teach us to persevere in prayer and trust wholeheartedly in Your faithful promises. Amen.

27 Agosto 2026 | Paggunita kay Santa Monica - Puti | Huwebes ng Ika-21 Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon [II]

Unang Pagbasa: 1 Corinto 1:1-9
Salmong Tugunan: Salmo 144:2-3, 4-5, 6-7
Mabuting Balita: Mateo 24:42-51

Pagninilay:

Amen.

26 August 2026 | Wednesday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time [II] - Green

First Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-10, 16-18
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 128:1-2, 4-5
Gospel: Matthew 23:27-32

Reflection:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus again rebukes the scribes and Pharisees for appearing righteous outwardly while their hearts remain far from God. He teaches that true holiness is not measured by outward appearance but by sincerity, integrity, and a life that reflects God's will. In the first reading, Saint Paul encourages believers to live with discipline, diligence, and responsibility, setting a good example for others. Together, these readings remind us that authentic faith is lived from the inside out, allowing God's grace to transform our hearts, our actions, and our daily lives.

Prayer:
Lord, purify our hearts and make us sincere in all that we do. May our thoughts, words, and actions always reflect Your truth, love, and holiness. Amen.

26 Agosto 2026 | Miyerkules ng Ika-21 Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon [II] - Luntian

Unang Pagbasa: 2 Tesalonica 3:6-10, 16-18
Salmong Tugunan: Salmo 127:1-2, 4-5
Mabuting Balita: Mateo 23:27-32

Pagninilay:

Amen.

25 August 2026 | Tuesday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time [II] - Green | Optional Memorial of St. Louis, King | Optional Memorial of St. Joseph Calasanz, Priest

First Reading: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3a, 14-17
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 96:10, 11-12, 13
Gospel: Matthew 23:23-26

Reflection:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus rebukes the scribes and Pharisees for focusing on external religious practices while neglecting the weightier matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faithfulness. He reminds us that true holiness begins with a transformed heart, not merely outward appearances. In the first reading, Saint Paul encourages believers to stand firm and hold fast to the teachings they have received. Inspired by Saint Louis, who ruled with justice and holiness, and Saint Joseph Calasanz, who devoted his life to the education of children, we are called to live our faith through sincere love, mercy, integrity, and faithful service.

Prayer:
Lord, purify our hearts and help us live with justice, mercy, and faithfulness. May our words and actions always reflect the love and truth of the Gospel. Amen.

25 Agosto 2026 | Martes ng Ika-21 Linggo sa Karaniwang Panahon [II] - Luntian | Paggunita kay San Luis IX | Paggunita kay San Jose de Calasanz, pari

Unang Pagbasa: 2 Tesalonica 2:1-3a, 14-17
Salmong Tugunan: Salmo 95:10, 11-12a, 12b-13
Mabuting Balita: Mateo 23:23-26

Pagninilay:

Panalangin:
Amen.

24 August 2026 | Feast of Saint Bartholomew, Apostle - Red

First Reading - Revelation 21:9b-14
Responsorial Psalm - Psalm 145:10-11, 12-13, 17-18
Gospel - John 1:45-51

Reflection:
On the Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, we encounter Nathanael (traditionally identified with Bartholomew), a man whom Jesus describes as one “in whom there is no deceit.” With an open and sincere heart, Nathanael recognizes Jesus and proclaims, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” In the first reading, the heavenly Jerusalem is described with foundations bearing the names of the twelve apostles, reminding us that the Church is built upon their faithful witness. Like Saint Bartholomew, we are called to seek the truth with sincere hearts and to follow Christ with courage and integrity.

Prayer:
Saint Bartholomew, pray for us. Lord Jesus, grant us sincere and faithful hearts, ready to recognize Your presence and courageously follow You wherever You lead. Amen.

24 Agosto 2026 | Kapistahan ni Apostol San Bartolome - P**a

Unang Pagbasa - Pahayag 21:9b-14
Salmong Tugunan - Salmo 144:10-11, 12-13ab, 17-18
Mabuting Balita - Juan 1:45-51

Pagninilay:

Panalangin:
San Bartolome, ipanalangin mo kami. Panginoong Hesus, bigyan Mo kami ng pusong tapat at bukas sa Iyong tawag, upang maging matatag kaming saksi ng Iyong pag-ibig at katotohanan. Amen.
