Shepherd Ministry
The Shepherd Ministry is one of the first ministries organized by the Loved Flock Catholic Charismatic Renewal Ministries when it started its full-time service in the Lord’s vineyard. Originally, the ministry was headed by Sisters Linda Roa (deceased) and Joybelle Samson Cinco. Assisting them were Brothers Jimmy Valenciano, Edwin Torzar, Cesar Paglinawan, Pepito Uy, Boy, Vic an
d Sisters Lolit Niñalga, Cora Manlagñit (now Head Elder of Binakayan Chapter), Emily Tavale, Ellen Lilagan, Bless Garvida, Tess Pangilinan, and the rest of the helpers. Sis Au Alcazar, (now Counselor in-charge of the Shepherd and Youth Ministries) Bro. Jun Valerio, (now active Speakers) Sis. Elna Valera (now with the Office Ministry), Sis. Flor Ongpauco and Sis. Adora Dimaano, Sis. Roma Arriedo, Bro. Odie Bello, Bro. Toby Fresnosa, Cesar Arriedo also joined the group to augment its human resource. Later, Sis. Grace Gabriel De Chavez (deceased) likewise volunteered to help. She was followed by a group of youth from Fort Bonifacio. Thus different batches of shepherds have come through the years, some staying for good while others moved on as the Lord sent them. Virgie Ganancial, Sis. Lina Regalado, Sis. Ludy Alajar, Sis. Virgie Cordero, Bro. Jayson Dolotina (now active Speakers) Sis. Myrna Baluyut and Bro. Edgar Abrenica. But no matter who the people were, the same spirit prevailed so that the Shepherd Ministry always was and shall remain a vibrant, dynamic force behind the Loved Flock family communities. To maintain fire in the service, Shepherds attend regular retreats/recollection, bible studies, growth/deepening series, workshops and seminars. To effectively dispose its functions and responsibilities as Registrars, Greeters, Pinners, Ushers and Marshals, members were divided into four (4) groups named after St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and St. John. Unified in their desire to work harmoniously with each other, monthly schedules of assignments are distributed among these groups so that each leader may have the chance to exercise God’s entrusted authority. Coordination and submissiveness to authorities above them are important ingredients in the fulfillment of every shepherd’s duties and responsibilities, whatever his position in the ministry may be. The Good Shepherd never leaves his flock. To the best of our abilities and with God’s grace, we will try to follow His lead. Once a shepherd, always a shepherd. YEARLY ACTIVITIES
