The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network- Apostleship of Prayer invites everyone to join the Sacred Heart Prayer for our dearly departed.

Sacred Heart Prayer for the Faithful Departed

The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network – Apostleship of Prayer (PWPN–AP) invites our parish community to join us in a new prayer apostolate dedicated to our departed loved ones.

Beginning this First Friday, August 7, after the First Friday Holy Mass, we will gather before the Sacred Heart of Jesus to pray for the faithful departed and entrust them to His mercy.

Praying for the dead is one of the Spiritual Works of Mercy. Through this apostolate, we hope to give our parish community another opportunity to remember those who have gone before us and to accompany them with our prayers.

From Monday, August 3 at 7:00 AM until Friday, August 7 at 10:00 AM, parishioners may write the names of their departed loved ones on the prayer slips provided and place them in the basket at the designated prayer table.

During the First Friday prayer, the basket containing their names will be presented before the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The names entrusted to us will be reverently remembered in prayer, followed by the Holy Rosary and concluding prayers for all the faithful departed.

We especially encourage those who submit names to come and pray with us. More than simply leaving a name in the basket, may this be an opportunity for us to gather as a community and personally offer our prayers for those we continue to carry in our hearts.

Please remember that this prayer apostolate is an additional prayer for the faithful departed and is never a replacement for the Holy Mass. The Holy Mass remains the highest form of prayer we can offer for our departed loved ones. We therefore encourage the faithful to continue having Masses offered for the deceased.

As prayer apostles, may we remain united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we remember our departed loved ones and entrust them to the infinite mercy of God.

Lubos po kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng nakiisa sa ikalawa at ikatlong araw ng Triduo sa Karangalan ni San Juan Maria Vianney. Maraming salamat din po sa lahat ng mga organisasyon at mga mananampalatayang naglaan ng oras upang makibahagi sa ating sama-samang pananalangin.

Nawa’y patuloy tayong maging inspirasyon ng buhay ni San Juan Maria Vianney sa ating paglilingkod sa Diyos at sa kapwa.

Nawa’y patuloy tayong magkaisa sa panalangin at suportahan ang bokasyon sa paglilingkod sa Simbahan.

Inaanyayahan po ang lahat na makibahagi sa Triduum para sa karangalan ni San Juan Maria Vianney, Patron ng mga Kaparian, na magsisimula bukas. Sa loob ng tatlong araw, tayo'y magtitipon sa panalangin at Misa upang ipagdasal ang ating mga pari—mga pastol na walang sawang naglilingkod sa sambayanan.

Makikita sa kalakip na larawan ang iskedyul ng mga panalangin at pagdiriwang. Nawa'y magsilbi itong paanyaya para sa bawat isa na makiisa at magpasalamat sa biyaya ng bokasyon ng pagpapari.

BALIKAN 2026| Patuloy nating ipanalangin ang ating mga seminarista na sina Bro. Christian, Bro. Dale, at Bro. Yashua, na kasalukuyang sumasailalim sa kanilang paghubog sa UST Central Seminary para sa Formation Year 2026–2027.

Nawa’y patuloy silang gabayan ng Panginoon sa kanilang paglalakbay sa bokasyon, pagkalooban ng karunungan, katatagan, at pusong handang maglingkod sa Kanyang Simbahan. Sama-sama nating suportahan at ipanalangin ang kanilang pagtugon sa tawag ng Panginoon.
