Pagbubukás ng Bagong Pamayanan sa Avida Towers QC

Today marks the birth of another pamayanan in Avida Towers Quezon City, First mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Jun Villanueva.

This community now formally welcomed as a sub‑parish community under the Visitation of Our Lady Parish in Sacred Heart Village.

This new faith community becomes part of the growing mission of the Diocese of Novaliches — to bring the Church closer to families, strengthen neighborhood evangelization, and build small Christian communities rooted in prayer, service, and compassion.

The Diocese continues its mission to:

📌Proclaim the Gospel — forming communities that live and share the Word of God in daily life.

📌Strengthen families — nurturing homes as centers of faith, love, and moral formation.

📌Build caring communities — promoting solidarity, charity, and service to the poor and vulnerable.

📌Deepen sacramental life — ensuring access to Holy Mass, catechesis, and pastoral guidance.

📌Empower lay leaders — forming volunteers, catechists, and ministry servants in every pamayanan.

📌Promote peace and social responsibility — encouraging active participation in building just and compassionate communities.

As Avida Towers QC becomes part of this mission, we pray that this new pamayanan grows in unity, faith, and joyful service.

📣 Maraming Salamat, Pamayanan ng Divine Mercy – BEC Week 6
Ebanghelyo: Mateo – Ang Babaeng Cananea

20th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Gospel: Matthew 15:21–28

“Lord, help me.”

Today’s Gospel presents the extraordinary faith of the Canaanite woman. She came to Jesus carrying the suffering of her daughter. Even when Jesus seemed silent, she did not walk away. She remained, trusted, and continued to pray.

Her simple cry, “Lord, help me,” reminds us that prayer does not always need many words. Sometimes our deepest prayer comes from a heart that simply refuses to stop trusting God.

Jesus finally tells her, “O woman, great is your faith!” Her perseverance teaches us that when God seems silent, we should not lose hope. He hears the prayers we carry, even those spoken through tears.

This Sunday, bring to Jesus whatever is heavy in your heart. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing.

Have a blessed 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time!

🌹 COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT 🌹
FEAST OF THE SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Today, the Catholic Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holy day that reminds us of God's promise of eternal life.

The Assumption teaches that after the completion of her earthly life, the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken body and soul into heavenly glory. Through Mary's Assumption, we are reminded that our true home is in Heaven and that faithful discipleship leads us closer to God.

“All generations will call me blessed, for the Almighty has done great things for me.”
Luke 1:48-49

Let us honor our Blessed Mother by praying the Rosary, reflecting on her virtues of humility and obedience, and entrusting our families and community to her loving intercession.

🙏 Prayer

Mary, Assumed into Heaven, pray for us. Guide our community to grow in faith, hope, and love, and lead us always to your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

📖 MARIAN LEARNING TRIVIA
❓ Did You Know?

🔹 The Assumption is one of the four Marian Dogmas of the Catholic Church.

🔹 The Assumption was officially proclaimed as a dogma by Pope Pius XII on November 1, 1950, through the Apostolic Constitution Munificentissimus Deus.

🔹 The Book of Revelation describes "a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" (Revelation 12:1), a passage often associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

🔹 The Assumption differs from Jesus' Ascension.

Jesus ascended into Heaven by His own divine power.
Mary was assumed into Heaven by the power and grace of God.

🔹 The Assumption is celebrated worldwide every August 15 and is a major feast day in the Catholic Church.

The official National Catechetical Month 2026 poster.

Let us prepare together for this meaningful celebration of our shared mission of proclaiming Jesus Christ and forming communities of faith.

Description:
“Ang Kasingkasing sa Katekista: Nagatapok, Nagapaminaw, Nagahiusa”

Listening is more than a communication skill. It is an expression of love. For catechists, attentive listening is essential in responding to Christ’s call to serve through teaching, accompaniment, and the building up of the Church.

Rooted in listening to the Gospel, catechists are formed to proclaim the Good News with compassion, wisdom, patience, and understanding. Before they speak, they listen. Before they teach, they encounter. Before they lead, they walk with the people entrusted to their care.

This photograph captures a meaningful gathering of catechists at Santo Niño de Sirawai Parish, one of the farthest parishes in the Diocese of Dipolog. In a community where Christians comprise around 30% of the population, the catechists continue to nurture faith with courage, humility, and perseverance.

The title “Ang Kasingkasing sa Katekista: Nagatapok, Nagapaminaw, Nagahiusa” expresses the heart of synodal catechesis. Catechists gather as one community, listen to one another’s experiences, and unite in their shared mission of proclaiming Christ. Through these encounters, listening flourishes, love and peace are strengthened, and the heart of every catechist is renewed.

This image reminds us that the mission of catechesis is not carried out alone. It is a shared journey of faith, especially in communities where the Church is called to become a humble presence of dialogue, friendship, hope, and unity.
