NET (Nurturing, Evangelization, Teaching) OUR VISION: That all singles men and women, will, in fullness of time, come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Once we were called YUPPIES (Young Urban
Professionals), or that sector of the economy
that has an almost limitless power, focused only on career and will stop at nothing to get to the top. But that was before the Lord called each one of us to wo
rk for Him and to be followers of His reign. In Biblical times, people used nets to catch fish, fishing being their means of livelihood. Jesus' disciples themselves were fishermen when they were called by the Lord to become his followers. It is our coming together, the renewed single professional men and women of The Lord's Flock Community. As such, we are dedicated to our VISION: That all single professionals will, in the fullness of time, come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. All efforts, ministries, and outreach programs are relevant in bringing the Good News to the World and in helping establish the Kingdom of God. THE BIRTH
Behind all great actions, human and divine is LOVE. By love, God created the world and by the same LOVE, Christ became man and died on the cross. By LOVE too, a baby ministry was born at the Lord's Flock Community. The NET was the product of the vision by Sis. Techie Rodriguez. The vision inspired her to form a special ministry of single professional men and women who are divided into cell groups that network to fish for more single men and women - to evangelize them and bring them closer to Christ. The ministry aims to spread the Good News to single professionals who witness for the Lord. The NET, then a ministry, was led by ten (10) stewards who were responsible for shepherding the members grouped by district. Named after the different places from the bible, the cell groups were then led by Bro. Cel Lansangan, Bro. Benjie Vitug, Bro. Enhril Serguino, Bro. Arthur Aganan, Bro. Ding Adeva, Sis. Cecille Ortalla, Sis. Lulu Perele, Sis. Millet Lansangan, Sis. Agnes San Diego and Sis. Alma Ablaza. Formally launched at the Peach Blossoms Restaurant on November 29, 1990, the ministry was blessed with 150 initial members.
