In his homily, Bishop Emeritus Honesto Ongtioco, who elevated then Christ the King Chapel to a Diocesan Shrine two decades ago, reminded us that the Word is meant to be known, loved, and lived—never confined to the page, but made real in mission, service, and witness. "For 20 years, this shrine has echoed the same call—the Word proclaimed through the Eucharist, Scripture, missions, retreats, and prayer, quietly transforming countless lives."
The Mass was filled with smiles, praise to God, thanksgiving, and heartfelt prayers for those in need and their intentions—a true celebration of faith alive and in action.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Emeritus Honesto Ongtioco, the concelebrating priests, our SVD Seminarians collaborators/ conferrers and to all our dedicated shrine ministries for their faithful service. Our sincere thanks as well to all our Mass sponsors and to everyone who joined us in prayer and celebration. 🤍🙏
Above all, we give glory and thanks to Jesus, the Divine Word--the Word made flesh, the heart of this shrine, and the reason we gather, believe, and serve. ✨
