In his encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo XIV reminds the Church and the world of timeless truths in the midst of a rapidly changing, technology-driven age.

He emphasizes that every person is created in the image of God and carries a dignity that no advancement in technology can replace. True progress, he teaches, is only authentic when it serves humanity—especially the poor and most vulnerable among us.

As we continue to embrace modern innovation, the Holy Father calls us to ensure that all developments are guided by conscience, compassion, and Gospel values, so that technology remains a tool for human flourishing and not a threat to it.

May we be faithful stewards of both faith and progress, always placing God and neighbor at the center of all we do.

PENTECOST SUNDAY: THE BIRTH OF THE CHURCH

Today, we joyfully celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, filling them with courage, wisdom, and zeal. This sacred moment marks the birth of the Church, when fear was transformed into faith, silence into proclamation, and ordinary people into witnesses of Christ.

The same Spirit that descended upon the Apostles continues to guide and renew us today. As one parish family, may we open our hearts to the gifts of the Holy Spirit and become instruments of God’s love, peace, and mission.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who have taught the hearts of the faithfulby the light of the Holy Spirit,
grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wiseand ever rejoice in his consolation.
Through Christ our Lord.
