Call for Donations for Communities Affected by Typhoon Maymay (International name Kujiro)and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat)

Many families have been displaced and are in urgent need of assistance due to the effects of Typhoon Maymay (Kujiro) and the continuing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

We invite everyone to extend their compassion and support through prayers and donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help provide food, clean water, hygiene supplies, and other essential needs for affected communities.

The United Church Aid and Relief Services, Inc. (UCCP CARES), in partnership with the Cotabato Annual Conference of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, successfully conducted the distribution of relief packs across four barangays in Lebak and Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Sur, reaching a total of 265 families. The relief distribution was facilitated by their Conference Minister, Rev. Geral M. Fernando.

These communities were among those severely affected by the flash floods caused by Typhoon Inday, which struck on July 9, 2026. Through this collective effort, essential assistance reached families in needโ€”bringing not only material support, but also hope and solidarity in this time of recovery.

The United Church Aid Relief Services, Inc. (UCCP CARES) successfully conducted a relief mission in Balut Island, Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental in partnership with the South Cotabato Sarangani District Conference of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines.

The relief mission provided 375 food packs, along with hygiene kits and water jugs, to communities and UCCP members in Balut Island who continue to recover from the impacts of the recent typhoon. The assistance reached families and residents in Sitio Blaan, Barangay Mabila; Sitio Kema and Sitio Huai, Barangay Batunganding; and Sitio Ngehe, Barangay Tinina. Relief assistance was also distributed to members of UCCP Indonesian Christian Congregation - Huai, Bationg, Tinarubo, Kema, Pakiluaso, and Ngehe.

In addition, assistance was extended to members of the Foursquare Gospel Church and community volunteers.
