In the midst of broken walls, we witnessed unbroken faith.

UCCP CARES staff visited UCCP Mahawak in Medellin and UCCP Tim Murphy in Tabogon—churches deeply affected by the earthquake that struck Northern Cebu. Together with Rev. Faith Seriño, Rev. Edward Flora, and Rev. Dante Rumol, we listened to stories of loss, resilience, and hope that refuses to fade.

Our journey continued with a meaningful meeting with Rev. Winston Mariano, strengthening our shared commitment to walk alongside our churches in this time of rebuilding.

Through the grace of God and the support of the United Evangelical Mission, four local churches from Cebu and Western Visayas will receive assistance for early recovery and rehabilitation—reminding us that no church stands alone in times of crisis.

We hold on to hope. We rebuild together.
And we continue to appeal for your prayers and support for the ministries of UCCP CARES.

UCCP CARES proudly implemented the installation of four (4) solar power set-ups for UCCP Liberty, the Barangay Hall of Liberty, and the Conference House of the Surigao–Dinagat District Conference, which serve as Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) during disasters, with the generous support of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA).

This initiative is more than providing electricity—it brings light, hope, and resilience to the church and the wider community. Through this solar project, UCCP CARES strengthens key disaster response facilities by ensuring a sustainable and reliable energy source that supports emergency operations, community services, and daily activities, especially during times of limited or no power access.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to service, compassion, and disaster response living out God’s love in action, caring for creation, and building stronger, more resilient communities.
