People often forget what this day is really about. It’s not about Jesus’ conception - it’s about Mary’s beginning.
A beginning so pure, so intentional, so full of grace that even before she opened her eyes to the world, God was already whispering: “You are set apart for something beautiful.”
And that’s what moves me. Because grace doesn’t always come with fireworks. Sometimes, it comes quietly - like how Mary was chosen quietly. How she was made spotless quietly. How she said yes quietly.
No drama. Just purpose. Just faith. Just a heart ready to embrace what God was offering.
And maybe that’s why this feast matters now more than ever. Because it reminds us that before any greatness happens, before any miracle unfolds, God prepares us - often in ways we don’t understand.
We don’t need to be perfect. We just need to be ever so willing. We need to show up with a heart that says, “Lord, if this is Your plan… then yes.”
Mary did. And everything changed.
So today, may we honor Mama Mary not just with prayers, but with the courage to trust the quiet work God is doing in us.
The kind we only understand much later, when we look back and realize - "Ah, ito pala ang plano ni God sa akin. This is what He was preparing me for."
