🕊️ MEMORIAL OF ST. EZEKIEL MORENO | AUGUST 19

Today, we remember St. Ezekiel Moreno, Bishop and missionary to the Philippines, whose life was marked by deep love for Christ, compassion for the suffering, and unwavering faith in God.

As the patron saint of cancer patients, St. Ezekiel Moreno reminds us that even in the midst of pain and suffering, we are never alone. His life teaches us to unite our sufferings with Christ and to remain steadfast in hope and prayer.

“The more you love Jesus Christ, the sweeter your sufferings become.”

May his example inspire us to face our own trials with courage, faith, and trust in God’s loving mercy. May he also intercede for all those who are sick, especially those battling cancer, and for their families and loved ones.

🌿 NO - Not Over🌿

Rev. Fr. John Harvey David Bagos in Ordinary Time | Matthew 15:21–28

Sometimes, God’s answer is “NO.” But His “No” does not mean the end of our story. It may be His way of protecting us, redirecting us, and preparing us for something greater.

NO also means: NOT OVER.

When God says “No,” it does not mean He has abandoned us. It means He is still working. He is still forming us. He is still writing our story.

“Lord, teach me to trust You even in Your ‘No.’ Help me understand that Your ‘No’ is not rejection, but protection and redirection. Purify my heart and prepare me for what You have planned.”

It is not over. God is not yet done with you. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep believing. 🙏💚

🌿 WAIT - We Abide in Trust🌿

20th Sunday in Ordinary Time | Matthew 15:21–28

Sometimes, God does not answer immediately. We pray, we hope, and yet the silence continues.

But like the Canaanite woman in today’s Gospel, we are invited to remain, persist, and trust.

“Lord, I do not understand. I do not see the answers yet, but I am here. I will wait, and I will continue to trust You.”

God’s silence does not mean God’s absence. Perhaps the waiting is part of how He is preparing our hearts for His perfect answer. 🙏

🌿 God’s Silence Does Not Mean God’s Absence

There are moments when God seems silent, when our prayers feel unanswered, and the path ahead remains unclear. Yet even in the silence, God is at work.

Sometimes, His silence is an invitation to trust, to wait, and to allow Him to change and prepare our hearts for what comes next. 🙏

May we remember: God is changing us first. His timing is always purposeful, and His presence never leaves us.
