ms: Church Planting, Church Growth, Community Development, and Cross-cultural Missions. Statement of Faith

We believe that there is only one God, creator of the heavens and the earth, eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Gen. 1:1)
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (Jn. 1:14-18; 1 Thes. 4:16-18)
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, who lives in the believers. He is the deposit guarantee of the believers, enables them to live in Christ-like character, and bestows spiritual gifts to all believers. (Eph. 1:14; Gal. 5:22; 1 Cor. 12:4-11)
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is divinely inspired and infallible. It embodies the supreme authority for the believers; anything that contradicts it must be discarded. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Only by God’s grace, through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, can this alienation be removed and the person be saved. (Gen. 1:26; Eph. 2:1-8)
We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer, and eternal judgment for the lost. (Matt. 25:31-46)
We believe in the universal body of Christ and the authority of the local church.

LJOR ANNUAL PRAYER INVASION 2026 DAY 7: Characteristics of God’s Kingdom (As Pictured in the Lord's Prayer)

Scripture Focus: Matthew 6:9–10 (cf. Luke 11:1–2)
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

I. It Is Relational
- Relationship – “Our Father in heaven” reminds us that the Kingdom is rooted in family and community.
- Israel was a covenant community.
- The Church is the household of God.
- We are called to love, forgive, and carry one another’s burdens.
- Reverence & Respect – “Hallowed be your name” teaches us deep awe and honor for God’s authority. True reverence leads to submission to His delegated authority.

II. It Is Structural
- Rule & Reign – “Your kingdom come” points to God’s sovereign authority and our call to submit.
- Responsibility – “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” highlights obedience as the measure of Kingdom living.
- God established institutions to govern creation, representing His authority (Genesis 41:40; cf. 1 Peter 2:13; Hebrews 13:17).

III. It Is Ethical
- Dignity & Fairness – God provides for all creation (Genesis 1:29–30).
- Boundaries & Respect – Scripture teaches us to honor one another and live with purity (1 Corinthians 11:21–22; 1 Timothy 5:1–2).
- Love & Social Order – The law is fulfilled in loving our neighbor (Galatians 5:14).

IV. It Is Moral
- The Kingdom excludes immorality, impurity, and greed (Ephesians 5:5).
- Since man is created in God’s image, sin has no place in His Kingdom.

🙏 Reflection
The Lord’s Prayer reveals that God’s Kingdom is relational, structural, ethical, and moral. It is built on reverence, submission, love, and holiness. As His people, we are called to embody these characteristics—living as witnesses of His Kingdom here on earth until its fullness is revealed.

Scripture Focus: Matthew 6:9–10
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Before creation, God had already established His Kingdom in heaven:
- “The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19)
- Creation itself was for His pleasure and glory (Revelation 4:11).
- The 24 elders understood God’s divine plan from a heavenly perspective. Today, the church is still unfolding and discovering His sovereign will here on earth.

📖 Characteristics of God’s Kingdom
1. He Already Determined
- God’s Kingdom is part of His deliberate plan (Matthew 6:9–10; Acts 2:23).
2. He Decreed
- His Kingdom will never be destroyed and will endure forever (Daniel 2:44–45).
3. He Desired
- God longs for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3–4).

🙏 Reflection
God’s Kingdom is determined, decreed, and desired. It is eternal, unstoppable, and rooted in His sovereign will. As His people, we are called to align our lives with His Kingdom purposes—living in obedience, proclaiming His truth, and anticipating the fullness of His reign on earth.

LJOR ANNUAL PRAYER INVASION 2026 DAY 5: The Fulfillment of God's Kingdom

Scripture Focus: Daniel 2:44
“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."

“The physical manifestation of the Kingdom is yet to be fulfilled. It started from within, but the full manifestation of it is sure to come.”-RAR

I. Establishment of His Kingdom on Earth - (Rev. 1:4–6)
- A person’s nature must be transformed. (John 3:5)
- A person’s loyalty must be transferred. (Col. 1:13)

II. Expansion of His Kingdom
- Exponential in Numbers (Dan. 2:34–35; Luke 13:18–19)
- Exemplified as Witness (Acts 2:46–47)

III. External Nature of the Kingdom
- Opposition, persecution, suffering, and weakness—yet the Kingdom endures (Dan. 2:44)

IV. Embodiment of the Kingdom
- Witness to redemption (Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:18–20)
- Worship of the one true God (Rom. 12:1; 15:6)
- Work for the marginalized (James 1:27)

🙏 Reflection:
God’s Kingdom begins within us but will be fully revealed. Let us live transformed, loyal, and faithful lives—witnessing, worshiping, and serving—until His eternal Kingdom is fulfilled.

LJOR ANNUAL PRAYER INVASION 2026 DAY 4: Understanding the Kingdom of God

Scripture Focus: Acts 1:1-6

In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
So when they had come together, they asked him,
“Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

What is the Kingdom of God?
The “Kingdom of God” refers to God’s sovereign rule and reign, both in present and the future, encompassing a spiritual realm where God’s authority is supreme and His will be done.

📖 Key Truths
1. Christ’s Declaration (Acts 1:3)
- Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God, affirming its reality and importance.

2. Christ’s Design in Advancing the Kingdom (Revelation 11:15)
- God’s plan is that “the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.”

3. Our Duty in Advancing the Kingdom
- Acknowledge that Jesus is the promised Messiah (Acts 2:36).
- Announce that He is alive and will come again (Acts 1:8).
- Abide in the principles of Kingdom living (Matthew 5:3).

🙏 Reflection & Prayer
The disciples asked, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6). But Jesus pointed them to a greater mission—the advancement of God’s Kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit.
As citizens of this Kingdom, let us:
- Live under God’s rule today.
- Proclaim Christ boldly.
- Shine His light in our communities.
- Work faithfully until His Kingdom is fully revealed.
- Advocate the cause of the Kingdom (Revelation 11:18).

LJOR ANNUAL PRAYER INVASION 2026 DAY 3: The Gospel of God’s Kingdom

Scripture Focus: Matthew 13:31–33
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

Key Truths About the Gospel
1. The Gospel Seems Insignificant
- Like the mustard seed, it begins small and unnoticed.
- Yet when nurtured, it grows into something far greater than expected—bringing shelter, hope, and life.

2. The Gospel Works Unseen
- Like yeast hidden in the dough, the Gospel quietly permeates hearts and communities.
- Its transforming power may not always be visible at first, but it is always at work.

3. The Gospel’s Impact Is Enormous
- The mustard seed becomes a tree; the yeast spreads through the entire dough.
- In the same way, the Gospel spreads wide and deep, influencing lives and transforming nations.
- What begins small becomes unstoppable, carrying the most important message in the world—salvation through Jesus Christ.

🙏 Reflection & Prayer
The Gospel may look small in the eyes of the world, but its power is unshakeable. Let us be faithful in planting seeds of truth and allowing God’s Spirit to work—even in unseen ways—until His Kingdom influences every corner of our families, communities, and nation.

LJOR ANNUAL PRAYER INVASION 2026 DAY 2: The Kingdoms of The World

Scripture Focus: Luke 4:5–7
“The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, ‘I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.’”

Today, we reflect on the sobering reality that the kingdoms of this world are not aligned with God’s eternal kingdom. From this passage, we learn that the present world is:
1. A Counterfeit Kingdom - Revelation 12:9
2. Controlled by the Evil One rebellion. - 1 John 5:19
3. Covered by Darkness - Colossians 1:13

But as followers of Christ, we are commanded and commissioned to respond differently:
1. To disassociate from the World – 1 John 2:15-17
2. To overcome the World - 1 John 5:4-5
3. To Influence the World – Matthew 5:14–16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

🙏🏻 Reflection:
The kingdoms of this world may be counterfeit, but God’s kingdom is unshakeable. Let us reject the lure of worldly power and instead embrace our calling—to shine His light, influence with His truth, and glorify our Father in heaven.

Shalom, LJOR Family!💜

With just a day to go before our Annual Prayer Invasion, let us pause and remember why we fast, based on our 2018 Prayer and Fasting topic entitled “Radical Christians: Living Committedly in This Generation.”

Why Do We Fast?

In the Bible, God’s people fasted together when:
📖 They faced crisis or calamity (Joel 1:13–14)
📖 There was a serious threat and a need for God’s intervention (Esther 4:15–17)
📖 They sought repentance and mercy (Jonah 3:6–9)
📖 They needed direction and commissioning from the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:2–3)

These examples remind us that fasting is not about religious appearance, but about humbling ourselves before God and seeking Him earnestly.

When Does Fasting Lose Its Meaning?
📖 When it ignores justice, compassion, and care for the needy (Isaiah 58:3–10)
📖 When it is done to impress people rather than honor God (Matthew 6:16)

True fasting aligns our hearts with God’s heart.

As We Prepare, Let Us Pray For:

🙏 God’s clear direction in stewarding all He has entrusted to us—our lives, church, resources, and vision
🙏 Genuine repentance and honest confession before the Lord

May our fasting and prayer reflect a radical commitment to God as we live faithfully in this generation.

Hi, LJOR Family! 💜

As we count down to our Annual Prayer Invasion, let us take a moment to understand what fasting truly is.

Fasting is a voluntary act of going without food—or setting aside something we regularly enjoy—for a spiritual purpose. Simply put, we fast from food so we can feast on God. It is not a way to manipulate God or force Him to align with our plans. Instead, fasting realigns our hearts, desires, and will with His.

Fasting is a biblical spiritual discipline. Jesus Himself expected His followers to fast, and He taught that God honors fasting done with the right heart. It is a deliberate choice to reduce or refrain from food for a specific time and purpose, creating space for deeper prayer, humility, and dependence on God.

As Jesus reminds us:

“When you give up eating, don’t put on a sad face like the hypocrites… Your Father sees what is done in secret, and He will reward you.”
Matthew 6:16–18 (NCV)

We invite everyone to join the LJOR Prayer and Fasting starting this Sunday, January 11 until January 17, 2026.

📖 For those who would like to get a copy of our UNSHAKEABLE 2026 Prayer Invasion Prayer and Fasting Manual, please coordinate with or contact your respective local churches.

Let us seek the Lord together in prayer and fasting. 🙏
