That I May Know Christ (Philippians 3:10)/Knowing Jesus Christ and Knowing Ourselves
We will never be able to honestly know ourselves until we have come to humble ourselves and know Jesus Christ, our Lord, our absolute Standard in life, in truth, and in righteousness, of and with whom we measure ourselves and conform ourselves to. When we come to know more of the Lord Jesus Christ (being Christocentric), we measure ourselves with Jesus’ Standard and make every effort to transform ourselves to the image of Jesus from glory to glory, and grace upon grace, that we may be conformed to His Standards and Principles (being Christoregulated or being Christonormative). Furthermore, we “let the mind of Christ be in us” (being Christological) to cultivate a Christian worldview and walk therein, “destroying arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive (for everyone) to obey Christ.”

Gumamit lang tayo ng Bible verses as inspiration. Mahigit 31,000 inspirational verses sa Bible. Huwag na tayong humiram pa sa sanlibutan dahil marami ang hindi Biblical na ka sabihan sa mundo baka maligaw pa tayo. Halimbawa sa nila: “Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.” Ito ay Laban sa Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.” (Zephaniah 2:3) And Isaiah 13:11 says, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” These verses are sober warning to not only the Israelites at that time but to this present world. The apostle Paul said, “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief” (1 Thessalonians 5:4).

The day of judgment is still coming. But those who have committed their all to the Lord Jesus Christ need not fear that day. 1Thessalonians 5:9-11 say, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do."
Praise of all praises be to our redeeming Lord and Savior, even Jesus, "which delivered us from the wrath to come” (1Thessalonians 1:10b).
