WHAT IS THE LGBTS CHRISTIAN CHURCH?
The LGBTS CHRISTIAN CHURCH PHILIPPINES is an independent, autonomous progressive Christian ministry based in Quezon City. Started as a Bible Study group meeting on September 13, 2026 in Dona Carmen in Quezon City. Became independent as a distinct entity on October 13, 2012, the church was created to provide an affirming, non-judgmental "church home" and safe worship space specifically tailored to the spiritual needs of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
The acronym LGBTS stands for Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Straight, emphasizing radical inclusivity, while the church also teaches the spiritual acronym: "Let God Be Thy Savior."
Core Identity & Mission
The church operates as an ecumenical, independent community of faith. Its ministry moves away from traditional fire-and-brimstone condemnation, focusing instead on conditional-free acceptance, experiential spiritual learning, and the message of God's grace.
Core Taglines: “Tanggap ka kung sino ka, ligtas ka kung ano ka. Come and See.”“Walang pagtatangi, Walang Panghuhusga.”
The church balances five primary pillars of ministry:
• Worship: Public corporate worship and daily personal devotions.
• Evangelism: Sharing an inclusive Gospel that rejects spiritual exclusion.
• Ministry & Missions: Unselfishly serving physical, emotional, and spiritual needs within the community.
• Discipleship: Promoting spiritual growth through accessible Bible teaching.
• Fellowship: Providing an authentic, supportive family network for those rejected by traditional spaces.
Sacraments and Rites
The liturgy of the church blends elements of Catholic, Protestant, Anglican, and Evangelical traditions, observing a standard ecumenical profession of faith grounded in the Nicene and Apostles' Creeds. Its practices are structured around Two Sacraments and Five Rites:

Advocacy & Community Impact
A central pillar of the church's public ministry is its active advocacy for Marriage Equality and the legalization of same-sex unions in the Philippines. Through the Rite of Holy Union, the church celebrates and spiritualizes the vows of same-sex couples under the eyes of God, defending these ceremonies under the constitutional right to freedom of religion.
Beyond weddings, the church operates as an activist sanctuary, hosting community events, annual milestones like the LGBTS Flores de Mayo, and offering shelter and fellowship to vulnerable LGBTQIA+ youth in Metro Manila.
