As part of her ministering visit to the Philippines, Primary General President Rosemary K. Chibota of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came together with Naga City Mayor Maria Leonor “Leni” G. Robredo on Monday, September 14, 2026, to visit mothers and newborns at Naga City General Hospital, including those receiving care in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The visit provided an opportunity to offer encouragement and support to mothers who had recently given birth and to families caring for newborns requiring specialized medical attention. During the visit, 150 newborn kits from the Church were also turned over to the hospital.

The gathering brought together leaders from the Church, the Naga City Government, and the hospital in a shared effort to support mothers, newborns, and families in the community. The donation is one of several humanitarian initiatives being carried out in Naga City and surrounding municipalities.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began distributing 2,000 relief packs to families affected by the recent floods in Pampanga province on September 12, 2026, with the first distribution held in Barangay Remedios, Lubao municipality.

The humanitarian effort aims to provide immediate assistance to families recovering from the recent flooding that affected thousands of residents across Pampanga, particularly communities in the province’s second legislative district.
