This Friday night, we reflected on Chapter 2 of Messages to Young People and how being young nowadays can feel like a lot. There are so many choices, so many distractions, so much pressure to just “live life.” But here’s something worth thinking about: what kind of life are we actually building? 🤔

God isn’t asking us to be perfect. He’s calling us to be intentional. To grow into someone with a strong mind, a steady heart, and the courage to stand for what’s right, even when it’s not popular. We all have moments where we just want to follow our impulses, do what feels good in the moment, or ignore that inner voice telling us to slow down. But those choices add up. What we invest our time, energy, and attention into now will shape who we become later.

The truth is, a life without direction or without God at the center can leave us feeling empty, even if it looks exciting on the outside. But when we take time to reflect, to grow, and to listen to God, something shifts. We find peace, gain clarity, and start to see our purpose 🍃

We don’t have to have everything figured out today. We just need to start by being honest with ourselves. What kind of person do we want to become? What kind of life are we building? Our future isn’t random: it’s being shaped by the choices we make right now. Happy sabbath, friends! 🙏

This Wednesday, we are reminded that our youth is not just a season of life. It is a time to build character that lasts for eternity. God calls each young person to give their best, to seek Him earnestly, and to trust that He will make their efforts meaningful and effective ✨

At the same time, those with more experience are called to guide and uplift the younger ones, especially in moments of struggle. A simple act of care, a conversation, or a prayer can make a lasting difference in someone’s spiritual journey 🤝

There is also a beautiful purpose in being young: God invites the youth to use their energy, passion, and courage to move His work forward. With clear minds and willing hearts, young men and women can bring glory to Him and help lead others toward salvation.

Let’s remember to:
1. Seek Christ wholeheartedly—He strengthens every sincere effort.
2. Support and pray for one another across generations.
3. Use the strength of today to make an eternal impact.

Happy Midweek, Friends!

What are you willing to give in exchange for something that you truly want?

With Christ, we can be sure that His saving grace is free. Tonight at Vesper, we studied Chapter 5 of Steps to Christ and learned that when Christ truly dwells in our hearts, His love fills us so deeply that everything we do flows from that love. In His presence, we begin to forget ourselves and focus more on Him. Our actions no longer feel like obligation, but become a natural response to His grace ✨

We were reminded that genuine love for God doesn’t ask, “What is the least I can give?” Instead, it seeks full surrender and a life that reflects His will completely. Without this kind of love, faith can easily become routine: something dry and burdensome rather than alive and transforming

We also learned that real change begins with the will. When we choose to surrender our will to Christ, we connect with a power greater than anything in this world. And through that daily surrender, He gives us the strength to remain steadfast and to live a new life grounded in faith 🙏

Tonight, we explored six powerful highlights on “Physical Culture” from Ellen White’s book Education (Chapters 21-24). We were reminded that something as simple as maintaining an upright posture can promote courage, while deep breathing and proper voice training help invigorate the body, calm the mind, and strengthen the lungs.

We also learned the importance of allowing our minds to take control of our bodies, especially through mindful diet and temperance. More than that, prioritizing recreation and engaging in practical manual labor play a vital role in shaping our youth to be healthier, happier, and more useful.

Indeed, as Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” Happy midweek! 💛

Tonight at vespers, we were able to share past experiences and reflect on the true meaning of Confession, which is that the conditions of obtaining mercy of God are simple, just, and reasonable! 🙏

The Lord does not require us to do some grievous thing to receive forgiveness: He does not require long pilgrimages, and painful penances—just confession and turning from our sins. "He that confesseth and forsaketh his sin shall have mercy."

One of the greatest deceptions of the enemy is making us think we need extravagant acts to earn God’s forgiveness, but Jesus doesn’t! He only calls us to run to Him whenever we fall and make mistakes. ✨

Happy sabbath, friends! 💛

Last night, we studied Luke 10:38-42 and discovered that Mary has chosen what is better 🤍

Sometimes we carry a “Martha spirit”, thinking God is pleased only when we’re productive, put together, and doing enough. So we come to Him tired, distracted, and quietly heavy.

But Jesus doesn’t meet us with disappointment. He meets us with compassion. He gently reminds us: it’s not about doing more, it’s about being with Him.

In a world that constantly demands, choose the one thing that truly matters—His presence.

Today, the invitation is simple: Stay. Do not feel the need to justify your rest. Do not feel the need to apologize for your heavy heart.

Happy midweek/Thursday, friends! 🤗

UP Joggers and friends, we’ve got something for you! 🏃‍♂️💧

This Sunday, March 15, 2026 (7 am), catch AMiCUS-UPD at the UP Academic Oval (near Sunken Garden) as we share FREE bottles of alcohol with the community.

This small act of kindness is part of the Global Youth Day 2026 celebration of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with the theme, “Communion In Action." By promoting health, hygiene, and thoughtful service, we hope to share God’s love in meaningful ways within the UP community.

See you tomorrow! ✨

Tonight at AMiCUS Vespers, we wrestled with one of life's hardest questions: How do you forgive someone who truly hurt you?

Through Joseph's story, we discovered that forgiveness isn't about pretending the wound doesn't exist or letting people "off the hook." It's about seeing beyond our pain to God's bigger story—trusting that He is both perfectly just and infinitely merciful.

Joseph could say "you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good" not because he was in denial, but because he believed God was sovereign over his suffering. And that same grace is available to us.

We don't forgive because people deserve it. We forgive because Christ forgave us. And in doing so, we break free from the prison of bitterness and step into the future God is writing.

Grateful for this community that digs deep into God's Word together. 🙏

This Wednesday, we learned that prayer is the way we communicate with God — not because He doesn’t know our needs, but because it strengthens our relationship with Him 💛 Through prayer, we open our hearts to God as to a friend, and it allows His presence to fill our lives with peace, power, and guidance. ✨

7 Points to Remember:
1️⃣ Prayer is talking to God as to a friend
2️⃣ Prayer Brings us Closer to God
3️⃣ Jesus Gave us the perfect sample of prayer
4️⃣ God Hears every sincer prayer
5️⃣ There are conditions for answered prayer
6️⃣ Pray for others
7️⃣ Pray without ceasing

🌿 “Unceasing prayer is the unbroken union of the soul with God, so that life from God flows into our life, and from our life, purity and holiness flow back to God.” — Steps to Christ, p. 98

🌱 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine.” — John 15:4

May this remind us to stay connected with God through prayer throughout the week 🙏
