Beyond the Checklist: What God Actually Wants from You

It is entirely possible to read your Bible daily, attend every church gathering, serve faithfully, and still completely miss the heart of God.

In Matthew 23:23, Jesus delivered one of His sharpest rebukes to the most religious people of His day. They meticulously measured out tenths of their mint, anise, and cumin, but neglected what mattered most: Justice, Mercy, and Faithfulness.

Centuries earlier, the prophet Micah cut through the noise of empty religious rituals with the exact same heartbeat: "What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8).

Justice (Mishpat): Moving beyond passive rule-keeping to defend the vulnerable, speak for the voiceless, and right what is broken.

Mercy (Hesed): Extending the relentless, steadfast covenant love of God to messy, undeserving people—just as it was poured out on us.

Faithfulness (Emunah): Living with unwavering integrity and loyalty to Christ when culture shifts and nobody is watching.

Are our lives full of religious motion, or are they aligned with God's heartbeat?

Join us this Sunday as we look past the surface of outward religion and explore how the Cross transforms us to live out the weightier matters of the Kingdom.

📍 See you this Sunday!

Shorter Version for Social Media & Church Bulletins:

What does God truly require of you?

It’s easy to focus on external rules while missing what matters most to God. In both Micah 6:8 and Matthew 23:23, Scripture calls us beyond hollow religious routine into the "weightier matters" of the Kingdom: Justice, Mercy, and Faithfulness.

Join us this Sunday as we uncover what it means to move toward the broken, love without condition, and walk with unwavering integrity before God.

📍 See you this Sunday!
