Tuklasan Foundation Inc. - Marriage Encounter

Marriage Encounter Community Marriage Encounter finds its roots from Barcelona, Spain. In 1965, the “Encuentro Conjugal” weekend seminar was brought to Mexico.

Three years after having been ordained priest in May 31, 1959, Father Gabriel Calvo designed the “Encuentro Conjugal” in 1962 and had the first seminar for 28 couples from the workers of factories in Spain. Crossing borders of land and language, “Encuentro Conjugal” became “Marriage Encounter” when it was brought to the United States in 1966. By the year 1967, Marriage Encounter was introduced at the Christian family Movement (CFM) convention held in the U.S.A.

Tuklasan Board of Trustees meeting and among other major items discussed, launched the Tuklasan 45th Anniversary Thanksgiving celebration on June 28 with the theme: "TUKLASAN: 45 YEARS UNDER ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM". This is the message of the Lord where He declared in Ephesians 4:5, "we all share the blessings of one Lord, one faith, and one baptism" , hence we, as Tuklasan encountered couples, are called to maintain unity, peace, love and salvation through Jesus, as we continue to focus on and LEVEL-UP our Family Life apostolate through the Marriage Encounter!

All married couples are cordially invited to the: Marriage Encounter Weekend Seminar (MEWS) this May 22-24, 2026 to be held at the Marello Retreat House in Tagaytay City.

The MEWS is a weekend seminar on mariage and love, which is the very core of the Tuklasan Apostleship. The seminar provides an environment that gives couples time to spend together away from the distractions of everyday life. The seminar offers married couples the chance to experience awareness of God's presence in their marrlage and learn communication skills. By practicing conjugal dialogue in their daily life, a couple can become the best of friends and enthusiastic lovers. The seminar aims to discover/re-discover themselves as a couple, as every MEWS has its unique worth and goodness.

Objective:
Develop effective intimacy of the couple with each other and with God through conjugal dialogue.

Congratulations Tuklasan Execom, BOTs, Head Servants, and Series Officers for a spirit-filled and productive General Assembly meeting! Our million thanks to the Tuklasan Council of Elders who acted as NOMELEC and rallied the group towards the noble achievement of our Tuklasan goals and Family Life apostolate! Congratulations to the newly-elected and discerned Board of Trustees members: Sis Elizabeth "Bum" Canlas of OLW (Our Lady of the Way), Bro. Allan- Sis Gina Amog of Paghahandog sa Diyos Series, and Bro. Marlon- Sis. Jhona Maranguis of the Trinitarian Series.
As Jesus commanded in Matthew 28: 19-20, let us all work hand in hand to fulfill the GREAT COMMISSION:

Tuklasan will be 45 Years soon.
Should We Celebrate?
Why should we celebrate, when there is a war going on? Why celebrate when gasoline prices continuously skyrockets while the spiralling prices of consumer goods leave us all in awe?!
The answer is YES, because in all of 45 years of Tuklasan, we are still here, in Gods loving embrace, despite all the challenges! In fact, throughout the Bible, the Lord always reminds us to get together and to tell people, of the LORD'S love and wonderful works! ."Let us give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind".-Psalm 107:8
