Workers have the right to a just wage. Being able to get something in return from work that helps fulfill the basic human necessities is a must.

Workers must also learn to be compassionate. Sharing the fruits of their work to other people who mostly needs it.

Every human person has the right to work. With these rights also come their right to safe work and the right to rest.

We must always remember to work hard. We should not only be hard workers but smart workers as well.

With these in mind, workers should always have a safe and protected workplace. They should have basic necessities that help them achieve their work. Workers must also learn to balance their work and own lives. Keeping in mind to rest.

The Path to Authentic Happiness!

Before we talk about our topic, sit back, relax and smile!

What is something that makes you happy? Many people spend their whole lives in search of authentic happiness but the truth is that the secret is actually the simple things on earth. Simplicity is the way to go!

We overestimate what materials can do for us and yes it sometimes can be a source of happiness. Yet, it is sometimes like a parasite. It slowly infects us until we eventually become corrupted and confused.

We need to remember that living a simple life leads to a happy life. Being content with what we need and have is the best way to go if we want to be authentically happy.

How should we view our material things based on the teachings of the Church?

We all have different views and perspectives on our material things. There are even times where in we prioritize these things and it leads us away from God.

Through the Catholic Social Teachings (CST), we would be able to know how to view these things.

We all have our own rights to our private things since these things help us meet our temporal needs. But, we have to remember that all material things are universal and is meant for all, so we should only take what we need and give what we don’t. Additionally, we also need to take care of these since those are the things that can help us in becoming divine individuals, in God's eyes.

Materials aren’t everything

We’ve been accustomed to prioritizing material things over every other thing in life and it has drained us of being truly happy since prioritizing material things often leads us astray.

We need to learn how to balance material things so that we can still prioritize God and all of His teachings.

How?

Learning how to let go of things that we don’t need anymore shows strength and determination to change the structures of evil in society. Through this act, we enable ourselves to change and we also help those who are in need of our material things.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

- Genesis 1:28

With God's given gifts, our job as an individual is to exercise dominion over all creation. We are constantly being reminded that as ruler of God's creation, it entails that human beings are more important than temporal goods. God is not unjust and He surely wants all of us to be saved. Though, in order to be saved, we all have to take responsibility for our lives. Whilst having authority over material goods, we still do not possess full control over them as He is still the sole Creator and we are merely His "trustees".

God is Truly Good!

All things are possible because God deemed it to be possible. He gave us everything we need to be able to survive and be truly happy. It is now our responsibility to care for this.

Take a moment to admire the things we own. The people around us, that love and make us happy. We always need to keep in mind that these Gifts of God should be taken care of and be put to good use.

How? By being Compassionate, Humble, Excellent, Empowering, being of Service to others, and Respect for all life, or simply

C.H.E.E.R.S. !
