We cannot control every outcome in this life, and that can sometimes feel overwhelming. But temple covenants remind us that we already know the final result of God's plan for us.🥹

Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and sacred ordinances, a path of healing and restoration is guaranteed. We can trust the process, knowing that the end of the story is beautiful.🌸

‘How can we know the way?’ asked Thomas, as he sat with his fellow apostles and their Lord at the table after the supper on the memorable night of betrayal; and Christ’s divine answer was: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. . . .’ (John 14:5–6.) And so he is! He is the source of our comfort, the inspiration of our life, the author of our salvation. If we want to know our relationship to God, we go to Jesus Christ. If we would know the truth of the immortality of the soul, we have it exemplified in the Savior’s resurrection. . . .
“… He is the one Perfect Being who ever walked the earth; the sublimest example of nobility; Godlike in nature; perfect in his love; our Redeemer; our Savior; the immaculate Son of our Eternal Father; the Light, the Life, the Way.”
— David O. McKay

Our agency is one of the greatest gifts God has given us, and every single day we are handed opportunities to decide how we will use it. We can use our words to build walls of contention, or we can use them to pave roads of understanding. The choice to heal a relationship is always a victory for the soul.💕

Christ never forced anyone to follow Him, yet He constantly extended an open hand. When we use our agency to choose reconciliation over conflict, we are stepping into our true identity as covenant keepers, choosing to lift others up rather than tear them down✨🌻

We thank thee, o God, for a prophet

We thank thee, O God, for a prophet
To guide us in these latter days
We thank thee for sending the gospel
To lighten our minds with its rays
We thank thee for every blessing
Bestowed by thy bounteous hand
We feel it a pleasure to serve thee
And love to obey thy command🥰

While my parents are both converts, my older brother and I were blessed to be born under the covenant and baptized at age 8. Today, our immediate family’s active members include me, my older brother, my sister-in-law, and our mother. My father is no longer active, but we carry forward in faith.

Living with severe chronic pain and mental health challenges makes even everyday chores a struggle. But on the day of my endowment? Everything changed.

The moment I stepped inside the Phoenix Arizona Temple, it was as if my mind cleared and my physical pain completely vanished. 🥹 For someone who usually struggles with focus, I was able to maintain steady eye contact and perfectly retain the sacred words given to me during the ceremony.

Though my earthly disabilities returned the moment I stepped back outside, I know without a doubt that I was blessed with a clear mind and divine energy that day. It was a witness that Heavenly Father will qualify me to achieve the destiny He has planned for me.

My mom was filled with so much joy to witness such a profound spiritual transformation on such a special day.

The temple truly is a sanctuary of healing and revelation. 🏛️✨

Letter from Emma Smith to Joseph Smith, March 7, 1839 🤍

Dear Joseph,

Having an opportunity to send by a friend, I make an attempt to write, but I shall not attempt to write my feelings altogether, for the situation in which you are, the walls, bars, and bolts, rolling rivers, running streams, rising hills, sinking valleys and spreading prairies that separate us, and the cruel injustice that first cast you into prison and still holds you there, with many other considerations, places my feelings far beyond description.

Was it not for conscious innocence, and the direct interposition of divine mercy, I am very sure I never should have been able to have endured the scenes of suffering that I have passed through … ; but I still live and am yet willing to suffer more if it is the will of kind Heaven that I should for your sake💕

We are all well at present, except Fredrick who is quite sick.

Little Alexander who is now in my arms is one of the finest little fellows you ever saw in your life. He is so strong that with the assistance of a chair he will run all round the room. …

No one but God knows the reflections of my mind and the feelings of my heart when I left our house and home, and almost all of everything that we possessed excepting our little Children, and took my journey out of the state of Missouri, leaving you shut up in that lonesome prison. But the recollection is more than human nature ought to bear. … …

I hope there are better days to come to us yet. … [I] am ever yours affectionately.

A sister approached the bishop and said, "𝘽𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥, 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚."🥹

He asked gently, "May I understand why you feel that way?"

She explained, "I see sisters and brethren using their phones during the meeting, some are whispering and not paying attention, others don't seem to be living the gospel principles, some appear to be dozing off, and I even feel like some are judging me. It's disheartening, and it feels like there are so many hypocrites."🥹💔

The bishop paused thoughtfully. Then he said, "Before you make a final decision, would you be willing to do something for me?"

She agreed, "Of course, Bishop. What is it?"

He instructed, "Please take this glass of water and walk around the chapel twice, being very careful not to spill a single drop." She replied confidently, "Yes, I can do that."

She carefully took the glass, walked around the chapel twice, and returned, saying with a smile, "It's done, Bishop."

The bishop then asked her, "While you were walking, did you notice anyone using their phone? Did you hear any whispering? Did you observe anyone who didn't seem to be reverent? Did you see anyone sleeping?"

She replied, "No, Bishop. I didn't notice anything because I was so focused on the glass, making sure not to spill the water."

He then said kindly, "When we come to church, our primary focus should be on the Savior and feeling the influence of the Holy Ghost, so that we can stay on the covenant path.

As the scripture teaches, 'Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.' Our personal relationship with God and our commitment to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ should not be overshadowed by the imperfections we might perceive in others. Let your focus be on your own journey of discipleship and drawing closer to our Heavenly Father and His Son.💗✨

The Savior’s invitation is open to everyone, no matter where we are or what we have been through. He simply says, "Come unto me." He is ready to heal what is broken.

We do not have to earn His love; it is already ours. All He asks is for our willing hearts and a little bit of faith to start the journey.💕

"She was her parents' little princess, nothing was good enough for her beloved little princess and then I appeared, no money, no future but... Her parents and she believed in me!🥹🤍

Sister Holland was magnificent in our marriage, her parents had more money than my parents and neither of the 2 families had too much money but her parents had more than mine, she was the only daughter of her parents, then to them, she was their little princess, nothing was good enough for her beloved little princess and then I appear, no money, no future, no education, no nothing and she could have had expectations too high and her parents too and they could have said "What are you offering my daughter right now?"

Well she didn't and neither did her parents. She married me and my poverty, still with many years of education ahead of me and I didn't even think of a job, no car, no house, no nothing, but she was wonderful and said she was fine "One day will come" and also HER PARENTS were very nice and BELIEVED IN ME, and they said, “he’ll have it someday”, that has made all the difference in our marriage.

In fact, if we had such high expectations for the time of our marriage, I think it would have ruined everything, but it also ruined me, I would have felt so tiny, completely diminished in her eyes.

She never, ever, made me feel this way in our broke days, and to my surprise things were coming.💕
I love her for letting me live with reasonable expectations."🤍
