The present parish of the Most Holy Redeemer began with a chapel of the Most Holy Trinity Parish in Balic-balic in Sampaloc, Manila. On September 20, 1954, the Most Holy Redeemer Parish was established, its territory obtained from the Holy Trinity and Sacred Heart parishes. The parish church was solemnly dedicated on 4 March 1962, by the late Cardinal Rufino J. The spiritual care of the parish was

entrusted to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, with Fr. The religious fathers administered the parish until 1973 when it was handed over to the diocesan clergy. Its first diocesan parish priest was Msgr. A year after, again because of the increasing population and the growing number of Catholics, the parish was divided in two, giving birth to a new parish – the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, located on Cordillera Street in Galas, Quezon City. With hearts filled with joy and prayerful devotion, we welcome the presence of Our Lady of Lourdes as she joins us in the historic Solemn Coronation of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and the first-ever Diocesan Grand Marian Procession on May 31, 2026.

Appearing to Saint Bernadette at Lourdes, the Blessed Virgin Mary revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception and became a sign of God’s mercy, healing, and compassionate love for the poor and the suffering. Through her maternal intercession, countless pilgrims have found spiritual renewal, healing of heart and soul, and deeper faith in Christ.

Our Lady of Lourdes also holds a special place in the life and spirituality of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin in the Philippines, who venerate her as their heavenly Patroness and loving Mother. Under her guidance and protection, the Capuchin family continues its mission of humble service, prayer, fraternity, and care for the poor and afflicted.

As Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Mary continues to lead all people to Jesus, whose Sacred Heart is the fountain of mercy, healing, and salvation. Together with Our Lady of Lourdes, let us entrust to God all the sick, the suffering, and all those seeking hope and consolation.

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!
