It has served as a venue for understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims through its various activities. The University of the Philippines Muslim Students’ Association (UP MSA) was established in the 1960’s and was formally recognized in 1983. ts. Today, the UP MSA is one of the dynamic organizations in UP Diliman. It has fervently engaged in academic, religious, and socio-cultural shows, exhibits, conferences, media advocacy, seminars, lecture series, and community outreach program. The said organization is honored to have well-grounded alumni who are senators, congressmen, lawyers, academicians, ambassadors and entrepreneurs who are “catalysts” for progress in their fields of endeavor. It is also a pride of the organization to have yearly produced cm laudes and magna cm laudes from various colleges of the University. To arouse a proper and meaningful Islamic consciousness among the Muslims and the non-Muslims in the university;
Section 2. To preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the Muslim Filipino;
Section 3. To serve as a venue for unity, camaraderie, friendship, academic independence and synergic cooperation for the noble endeavors among the Muslims in the university;
Section 4. To provide a venue for articulation of different ideas, issues and problems which confront the Muslim Ummah;
Section 5. To promote socio-political consciousness and concern for the Muslim Ummah among the Muslim students in the university; and
