activities designed for every age!

Appeal for your Continued Support to our Vegetable Rescue Project

Easter Greetings!

As you well know, the price of highland cabbage remains stagnant at below production costs at the La Trinidad Trading Post in Benguet. As part of our Church’s contribution to the grim situation of our farmers who are almost completely losing income from such drop down in prices, we have purchased 10 tons of these vegetables and sold these to Manila. We have also arranged for around 5 tons to be brought to our Diocese of Santiago. We acknowledge your participation and support to this operation.

As farmers continue to appeal to us to rescue their harvest, we are expecting another 4 to 5 tons of cabbages to be brought to the National Office next week which will continue to be sold at Php 30 per kilogram. Hence, we are now again appealing for your continued support. It would be tremendously helpful if our congregations can be informed about this impending delivery on Sunday so they can prepare their orders. We will then contact you next week just prior to arrival to confirm you orders which we can deliver to you or you may make arrangements for these to be picked up from the National Office.

In times like this when our people are suffering from socio-economic challenges, ECP congregations have demonstrated how to be faithful to our Five Marks of Mission by working as one to support our affected brothers and sisters. We are proud of these efforts and we pray that we will continue to be nourished by God’s blessings as we all work together to enhance the Kingdom of God in our respective corners of His vineyard.

Indigenous youth and advocates perform “Banwar” by Salidummay as a tribute to the heroes and martyrs of the Cordillera. During the performance, the names of the banwar from the provinces of Ifugao, Benguet, and Mountain Province were read aloud in remembrance and honor.

The tribute took place during the clustered decentralized celebration of the 42nd Peoples’ Cordillera Day held in Sitio Madange, Tadian, Mountain Province on April 24, 2026.
