Starting out as a group of families wanting to build a church to serve the new Philippine capital, the Good Samaritan Church has since grown to become one of the largest United Methodist congregations in the Philippines. Today, as with many UM churches GoodSam has four age-based organizations: Spice Youth, GoodSam's UM Youth Fellowship (UMYF); the UM Young Adults' Fellowship (UMYAF); the United Me

thodist Men (UMM); and the Women's Society for Christian Service (WSCS). GoodSam also has several performing worship groups such as the Chorale Ensemble, Praise and Worship Team. Little Ambassadors for Christ, Jadoh Dance Group, Hands of Praise, WSCS Chimes for Christ, and Handbells for Christ. GoodSam also maintains a mission point in Payatas and Marinduque and is eying to build a mission point in Angat, Bulacan. The church is also supporting two daughter churches: God is Love UMC in Marikina and Teresa UMC in Teresa, Rizal.

Fifth Sunday of Easter Worship Service

In our worship service, we were reminded that even in uncertain times, we are called to live with faith, clarity, and purpose as people sent by God.

Rev. Dhan Q. Halog shared a message entitled “Living Stones Sent in Resurrection Power” from John 14:1–14, encouraging us to trust in Christ, find our identity in Him, and continue His work through the power of prayer and service.

As living stones, we are called to have steady hearts that trust God, a clear identity rooted in Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and a mission empowered by His presence. We are not just saved, we are sent to reflect His love, serve others, and bring hope wherever we go.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”
(John 14:1)
