Welcome to San Jose Seminary!
We are an Ignatian-inspired diocesan seminary in tucked within the grounds of the Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City. If only these historic walls could talk, it would tell the rich legacy of this hallowed institution, founded by the Jesuits in 1601. As such, we are the oldest educational institution in the Philippines, formerly known as Colegio de San Jose, which was founded to teach young men in Opus Ministerii (for the work of the Ministry).
Some of our more distinguished alumni include Most Rev. Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, D.D., Most Rev. Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, D.D, and Most Rev. Orlando Cardinal Quevedo, D.D. Bishop Teodoro Bacani, Bishop Honesto Ongtioco, Bishop Jesse Mercado, together with countless other bishops and priests serving their respective dioceses, are also part of the roster. We are standing on shoulders of giants, as we pursue our formation diligently under the guidance of St. Ignatius and San Jose.
If you would like to discern your vocation with us, send us a message and be open to the surprises of God!
