๐๐ WIDOWS FELLOWSHIP 2026 ๐๐
Today, the CRCP Classis Metro Manila Central, in collaboration with Annaโs Home for Widows Foundation, Inc., gathered more than 30 participants for a meaningful day of fellowship, learning, worship, and encouragement.
The program opened with a devotion from Ptr. Aries Fonacier based on Psalm 68:5โ6, reminding everyone that God is a defender of widows and that He lovingly places the lonely in families.
Following the devotion, Elder Dabs Liban facilitated a workshop that helped participants identify the challenges widows face, the comfort they receive from God, and ways the church can respond with faithful care and support. Among the concerns raised were financial needs, building new relationships, growing in fellowship with the Lord, prayer support, and the importance of a caring Christian community.
The participants then joined together in worship through singing, celebrating Godโs faithfulness and goodness. This was followed by an early lunch fellowship where stories, experiences, and encouragement were shared. During the meal, Pastor Nate blessed the widows through songs and a special serenade, bringing joy and warmth to the gathering.
In the afternoon, Pastor Nomer shared about widows around the world and in the Philippines, highlighting both their realities and their significant presence in society. Drawing from the examples of widows in Scripture, he encouraged the participants that widows can continue to live joyful, meaningful, and fruitful lives as they trust in the Lord and remain connected to His people.
The fellowship concluded with a closing prayer led by Ptr. Aries Fonacier, giving thanks to God for the dayโs encouragement, fellowship, learning, and worship. Together, the participants committed themselves and the widows ministry to the Lordโs continued care, provision, and guidance.
We thank God for the opportunity to gather, learn, worship, and encourage one another. We praise Him for the more than 30 participants who joined todayโs fellowship and for the reminder that widows are seen, loved, and cared for by God and His church.
Please continue to pray for our upcoming Widows Fellowship Outing on September 5. We encourage churches to send representatives to help plan and coordinate this event. Pray for Godโs provision, wisdom, volunteers, and clear leading as preparations begin.
