From June 7 to 13, 2026, the broader Fondacio Asia network, bringing together alumni, members, leaders, partners, and friends in mission, will cross borders for the Sacred Pilgrimage 2026. Jointly organized alongside WakeUp International Youth Center, this seven-day spiritual journey to South Korea serves as a collective pause to listen, reflect, and realign with a shared call to service. Looking beyond a simple leisure trip, this gathering comes together to deepen relationships with Christ, renew a prophetic sense of purpose, and build lasting bonds across regional boundaries.

By walking through historic spaces like the Korean Martyrs’ Shrines, Haemi Castle, and Myeongdong Cathedral, participants will encounter a living heritage of resilience sanctified by ordinary laypeople. This journey serves as a meaningful return to the source of all mission, equipping participants to return home with the renewed zeal needed to continue laboring for the harvest.

At IFFAsia, the beauty of mission lies in its diversity. In a recent formation module on Ethno-Cultural Identity Process, Batch 17 embarked on a sacred journey of deep listening, honoring the unique heritage and rich cultural roots that each participant carries from across Asia.

Reflecting on the profound journey of honoring these rich cultural roots, the participants shared:

The Young Lives Myanmar Program officially welcomed 22 young leaders from 11 dioceses for its ninth batch during a solemn Launching Mass on May 20, 2026, at the CBCM Compound in Yangon. Presided over by Bishop Lucas Dau Ze Jeimphaung and three concelebrating priests, the celebration grounded the upcoming formation journey in deep faith and community spirit.

Organized in partnership with the National Catholic Youth Commission, this milestone marks the beginning of a holistic, year-long journey for the participants. Over the next year, the youth will undergo intensive training in practical skills like English and computer literacy alongside essential life skills, community building, and cross-cultural engagement.

Since 2000, Fondacio has remained dedicated to serving the local Church and youth in Myanmar's peripheries. By equipping Batch 9 to discover their potential, the program continues its mission of nurturing resilient, values-driven leaders who are ready to return home and serve as inspiring mentors for the next generation.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲: 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗼 𝗫𝗜𝗩 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 '𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'

Celebrating the Solemnity of Pentecost in St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Leo XIV shared an inspiring reflection on the Holy Spirit, noting that the Easter Season reaches its full fulfillment in this powerful mystery. Rather than leaving the faithful trapped in fear behind closed doors like the first Apostles, the Pope reminded us that the Holy Spirit actively breaks through our anxieties to fill our lives with genuine peace and mission. He focused on how the Spirit constantly transforms ordinary hearts into living instruments of love, reminding the Church that every good deed and act of mercy is a visible sign of God at work within us.

Reflecting on the profound identity given to us through this divine gift, the Pope shared:

The formation journey of IFFAsia Batch 17 reached a beautiful milestone as participants gathered to explore the core Spirituality of Fondacio, the defining DNA that shapes their approach to leadership and life. This immersive session allowed these young leaders to ground themselves in three essential dimensions of personal and communal growth: Being True, which focuses on self-understanding and personal responsibility; Being With, which celebrates cultural diversity and supportive relationships; and Being For, which prepares them to actively engage and serve the wider community.

In looking at the foundation of this shared mission, IFFAsia continues to share that:

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗼 𝗫𝗜𝗩 𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 '𝗔𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆'

Speaking to a gathering of 20,000 pilgrims in St. Peter's Square, Pope Leo XIV shared a beautiful reflection on the Ascension of the Lord, a feast celebrated in communities across the globe. Rather than viewing Christ’s ascent as a distant event from the past, the Pope reminded us that it is a living reality that touches our daily lives, lifting us out of hardship and sin. He pointed to the inspiring examples of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the saints, and the ordinary families down our own streets — the devoted parents and grandparents who quietly strive to live the Gospel with joy every single day.

Reflecting on how closely connected we truly are to this mystery, the Pope shared:

The Young Lives Laos recently shared a heart-opening journey of growth and fellowship during the first-ever Moving School workshop held at the St. John Mary Vianney Major Seminary in Thakhek. Spearheaded by the Asian Lay Leaders (ALL) Forum, this historic gathering brought our team together with fellow participants including seminarians, sisters, and lay leaders to rediscover the beauty of the Church as the People of God.

Guided by the wisdom of Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma and Dr. Paul Hwang, our young leaders spent five days reflecting on the teachings of Pope Francis and Vatican II. Through the study of Catholic Social Teaching and collaborative action planning, the team left with a renewed spirit and a clearer vision for their mission in Laos.

It was a beautiful moment of unity, proving that when hearts are formed together, they become a stronger light for the entire community.
