A look back at our Mid-Week Service last July 23, 2026.

It was a blessed and meaningful mid-week service with Dr. Siler, President of IBMA, as our speaker. We were reminded to reflect on the marks we carry and how our lives can be a testimony of our faith in Christ.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Siler and the brethren from Cornerstone Baptist Temple for taking the time to visit us and join us for a special time of worship and fellowship. Thank you for being with us. We are truly blessed by your presence!

With deep sorrow, yet with confidence in the promises of God, we announce the passing of Dr. Myron K. Guiler.

Dr. Guiler faithfully served as the founding and first president of the Independent Baptist Mission for Asians (IBMA), the mission organization to which our church belongs. Through his leadership, vision, and burden for missions, countless churches were planted, missionaries were sent, and lives were transformed through the preaching of the Gospel across Asia and beyond.

He also served as President of Marietta Bible College, where many of our pastors and pastorsโ€™ wives received their biblical and ministerial training. In addition, he faithfully pastored Marietta Bible Center Church for many years, shepherding Godโ€™s people with conviction, wisdom, and a deep love for the Scriptures.

Dr. Guiler was known and respected as a great expository preacher, a renowned Bible teacher, and a man wholly dedicated to the faithful proclamation of Godโ€™s Word. Whether in the classroom, behind the pulpit, on the mission field, or in leadership, his passion remained the sameโ€”to preach Christ, teach the Bible, and train others for the work of the ministry.

His influence reaches far beyond the ministries he led. His legacy lives on through the missionaries he encouraged, the pastors he trained, the churches he strengthened, and the countless believers who sat under his preaching and teaching ministry. Many of the pastors and Christian workers serving today can trace part of their spiritual and ministerial foundation to his faithful investment in their lives.

While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of the Savior whom he faithfully loved, served, and proclaimed throughout his life.

Please join us in praying for Mrs. Linda Guiler, the Guiler family, Marietta Bible Center Church, Marietta Bible College, the Independent Baptist Mission for Asians, and the many churches and ministries around the world that have been touched by his faithful service.

Last February 13, the Lord blessed us with a truly Spirit-filled Revival Service. We were reminded that our strength and fullness come only from Christ as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.

We sincerely thank Ptr. Jeff Redlin and his wife for visiting our church and for being such a great blessing to our congregation.

All glory and praise be unto our Lord Jesus Christ.
